IIT Delhi and the Vishwakarma Awards have joined hands for an annual competition to celebrate the technology innovators across Indian science and engineering colleges. The grand finale is scheduled at eDC IIT Delhi on January 6, 2024.
New Delhi: The Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi (IITD), has collaborated with the Vishwakarma Awards for Engineering Innovation to organize an annual competition recognizing and commending technology innovators from Indian science and engineering colleges. The culminating event for the Vishwakarma Awards is set to take place at eDC IIT Delhi on January 6, 2024.
The WIN Foundation, in partnership with IIT Delhi, presents the Vishwakarma Prize 2023, centering around the themes of Water & Sanitation, Clean Technology, and Smart Mobility. This prestigious award acknowledges outstanding student innovations within each track or theme, highlighting their capacity to tackle practical challenges.
What is the Objective of Vishwakarma Awards 2023?
This competition aims to motivate and reward student teams for crafting groundbreaking and inventive solutions tailored to effectively address substantial real-world challenges in the fields of water and sanitation, clean technology, and smart mobility.
Through nurturing creativity and problem-solving skills, the competition endeavors to inspire significant progress in these vital domains, aspiring to instigate tangible and impactful transformations in society.
The Selected teams will receive financial backing for prototyping, mentorship from industry experts, and a platform to present their solutions.
Moreover, finalist teams recognized for the "best product design" and the "most innovative solution" in each track will qualify for additional support, including the chance to pursue an MBF fellowship. This fellowship is aimed to assist in the ongoing development of their prototype, transforming it into a viable and marketable product.
