IIT JAM 2026 Round 3 Seat Allotment Released; Check Last Date to Accept Seat

The Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT Bombay) has released the Joint Admission Test for Masters (JAM) 2026 Round 3 seat allotment list on the official admission website at jam2026.iitb.ac.in. The opening and closing ranks for each participating institute and programme are now live on the portal.

Allotted candidates must log in to the JOAPS portal to check their status. They have to accept the seat and pay the seat booking fee on or before June 20, 2026.

IIT JAM 2026 Round 3 Key Details

The Round 3 allotment covers admissions to 89 postgraduate programmes across 22 IITs. Around 3,000 seats are on offer for the 2026 academic session.

IIT JAM 2026 Seat Booking Fee

Candidates accepting a seat in Round 3 must pay the seat booking fee online. The amount depends on the candidate's category.

Candidates who already paid the seat booking fee in an earlier round need not pay again. The earlier payment carries forward to any upgraded offer in Round 3.

How to Check IIT JAM 2026 Round 3 Seat Allotment?

Candidates can view the opening and closing ranks for Round 3 in a few simple steps. Follow the process given below.

1. Visit the official JAM 2026 website at jam2026.iitb.ac.in/ocRank.html.
2. Select the desired institute from the dropdown menu.
3. Select Round 3 from the round dropdown.
4. Click on the Show Data button to view the ranks.
5. To accept the seat, log in to the JOAPS portal with your enrolment ID and password.

JAM 2026 Seat Withdrawal Window

Candidates who wish to exit the admission process can withdraw their seat. The official withdrawal window opened on June 3, 2026 and closes on July 3, 2026.

Withdrawing candidates will receive a refund of the seat booking fee after deduction of a processing fee of Rs 6,000. The refund will be credited by August 15, 2026.

5. Choose the right response option such as Accept and Freeze, Accept and Upgrade, or Decline.
