New Delhi: The Indian Institute of Technology, IIT Kanpur's recent placement season witnessed outstanding success, securing a total of 989 job offers. The average salary offered to students reached an impressive INR 26.27 lakh.
The initial phase of the IIT Kanpur placement session 2023-24, recorded 22 international offers. Among the total 989 offers, 913 students, including those with Pre-Placement Offers (PPOs), have successfully secured placements.

The participation in this placements phase came from industry leaders such as Microsoft, Fujitsu, Samsung, Reliance, Goldman Sachs, McKinsey, Texas Instruments, Qualcomm, Deutsche Bank, Tata Projects, Navi, Uniorbit, ICICI Bank, EXL, NPCI, Intel, TSMC, Bajaj Auto, Tata Steel, HPCL, SECI, C-DOT, NVIDIA, and more.
During the initial phase's first day of the placement season, 485 job offers were extended, with 428 students securing positions through a mix of campus placements and Pre-Placement Offers (PPOs), while 12 students received international job offers.
Subsequently, over the first eight days, the institute documented a total of 891 full-time offers, encompassing pre-placement offers (PPOs). Among these, 818 students successfully secured placements, and approximately 21 students received international job offers.
Last year, in the phase one of IIT Kanpur placement for the graduating batch of 2022-23, a total of 1,128 job offers were made, of which 208 were pre placement offers (PPOs).
