AIIMS has released the INI SS July 2026 Open Round seat allotment result on aiimsexams.ac.in. Allotted candidates must report to their assigned institutes by 5 PM on August 31, 2026. A total of 363 DM and MCh seats are on offer.
The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) New Delhi has released the Institute of National Importance Super Speciality (INI SS) July 2026 Open Round allotment result. The result is available on the official AIIMS examination portal at aiimsexams.ac.in.
Candidates allotted a seat must report to the allotted institute between August 25 and August 31, 2026. The final reporting deadline is 5:00 PM on August 31, 2026.
The Open Round covers 363 DM and MCh seats across five Institutes of National Importance. These include AIIMS centres, PGIMER Chandigarh, JIPMER Puducherry, NIMHANS Bengaluru and SCTIMST Thiruvananthapuram.

INI SS 2026 Open Round Seat Distribution

AIIMS has clarified that General and Sponsored seat categories cannot be merged. Candidates holding a previous allocation in this session are not eligible for this round.

Who Is Eligible for the Open Round?
Candidates who scored 50 per cent marks or above in the INI SS entrance examination held on April 25, 2026 are provisionally eligible. Eligibility is subject to the additional conditions listed in the official notice.
Candidates who have already accepted a seat in earlier rounds of this July 2026 session cannot participate. AIIMS has confirmed that no further rounds will be held after this Open Round.

How to Check the INI SS Open Round Allotment Result 2026?
Allotted candidates can view their allotment status through the AIIMS examination portal. The steps below outline the process.
- Visit the official portal at aiimsexams.ac.in.
- Log in using existing INI SS registration credentials.
- Click on the Online Institute Allocation link on My Page.
- View the allotted institute, course and category on screen.
- Download the allotment letter for future reference.
What Is the Security Deposit and Reporting Procedure?
Allotted candidates must pay a non-refundable security deposit of Rs 3 lakh. The payment has to be made through RTGS or NEFT to the account specified by AIIMS.
Candidates must also upload the required documents on the portal. These include the payment proof and a cancelled cheque of the same bank account.
After document upload, candidates must physically report to the allotted institute. Reporting must be completed before the 5:00 PM deadline on August 31, 2026.
This is the final counselling round for the INI SS July 2026 session. AIIMS has confirmed no additional rounds will follow. Missing the August 31 reporting deadline means losing the seat with no further chance in this session.
