Jamia Millia Islamia Announces Entrance Test for UG, PG Admission 2020; Rolls back Merit-based Process
New Delhi: On Wednesday, September 16, 2020, Jamia Millia Islamia University decided to add written entrance tests as a part of their admission process for undergraduate and postgraduate programs.
At the Executive Council Meeting that was held on Tuesday, September 15, Jamia Millia Islamia decided that instead of having a merit-based admission procedure for the year 2020, otherwise.
Jamia Milia Islamia will consider a merit-based selection process for admissions into undergraduate and postgraduate courses for 2020. For batch 2019-2020, Jamia Millia Islamia conducted the final year and semester examinations for each program from June 5 to June 20.
The examinations for the faculty of Dentistry (FOD) and Centre for Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Sciences (CPRS) was delayed due to the delay in guidelines from respective boards.
The university also proposed the final structure of the Integrated Jamia Library System where JML's faculties and centre libraries will be transformed into one. The proposal was later approved by the Executive council of the university.
JMI Executive Council Announcement for Late Fee and Results
The Executive Council announced the results of the final year and final semester year students for various programs will be declared as early as possible by the university.
“Students are required to pay their total university/tuition fee before the extension of the admit card for their respective programs. They are permitted to deposit the university fee in two instalments due to the Covid-19 situation” said the university.
The last date for fee submission for undergraduate programs (semester III and V) and postgraduate programs (semester III) programs for social sciences faculty are 10.9.2020 to 18.09.2020 for different programs.
The students who are willing to pay their respective fees can do it via online and offline modes.
