JCECEB released the Jharkhand BTech State Merit List 2026 on July 5. Round 1 choice filling opens on July 6 and closes on July 9 at jceceb.jharkhand.gov.in. Seat allotment result is due on July 12.
The Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (JCECEB) has released the state merit list. The BTech State Merit List 2026 was published on July 5, 2026. It is hosted on the official portal at enggcet.jceceb.org.in. The list has been prepared from the JEE Main 2026 result.
Round 1 online choice filling begins today, July 6, 2026. The choice filling window will close on July 9, 2026. Candidates can also edit their locked choices on July 10, 2026.
The Round 1 seat allotment result is scheduled for July 12, 2026. Allotment letters can be downloaded between July 12 and July 17, 2026. Document verification and admission will run from July 13 to July 17, 2026.

Who Is Included in the Jharkhand BTech Merit List 2026?
The merit list ranks candidates who registered with JCECEB for counselling. All applicants must have qualified JEE Main 2026 Paper 1 held by NTA. Ranks are prepared strictly from the JEE Main 2026 percentile scores. Only registered candidates can access the counselling portal for choice filling.
Applicants who missed registration cannot appear in this Round 1 list. They may still get chances in later JCECEB rounds this year. Board updates on eligibility will appear on jceceb.jharkhand.gov.in.
How to Fill Choices for Round 1?
Registered candidates should log in to enggcet.jceceb.org.in using their credentials. Click on the option marked Choice Filling under Round 1. The system will show all participating colleges and BTech branches.
Candidates should add colleges and branches in order of preference. Save and lock the choices before the July 9 deadline. Editing is allowed only on July 10, 2026. Choices left unlocked will be treated as final by the portal.
What Are the Mandatory Steps Before Choice Locking?
Candidates must pay the online counselling fee to proceed further. Payment can be made through net banking, debit card, credit card or UPI. The JEE Main 2026 scorecard must be uploaded on the portal. The signed confirmation page also needs to be uploaded.
PH category candidates are exempt from paying the counselling fee. The board notice has not disclosed the exact fee amount publicly. Candidates should check the fee shown at the payment screen before confirming.

How Many Rounds Will JCECEB Conduct This Year?
JCECEB has confirmed four rounds of BTech online counselling for 2026. Round 1 begins with the merit list released on July 5, 2026. Rounds 2, 3 and 4 will follow with fresh choice filling windows. Each round will open new opportunities for eligible candidates.
Round 1 usually offers the widest set of seats and branches. Students should list a mix of aspirational and safe choices. Locking strong preferences early improves the chance of a good allotment. Skipping Round 1 can shrink options in later rounds.
