Recognizing the immense growth potential of the aviation industry in the country, JMI and ICPL have forged a collaborative partnership in the field of training.

New Delhi: Jamia Millia Islamia has signed an agreement with ICPL to launch a dual degree program in BSc Aeronautics.
This partnership aims to provide aspirants with a comprehensive and specialized education in the field of aeronautics. It also aims to cater to the growing demand for skilled professionals in the aviation industry.
Distinguished personalities graced the signing ceremony of the collaboration between Jamia Millia Islamia and the International College of Professional Learning (ICPL) including JMI's Vice Chancellor, Najma Akhtar, Mini Thomas, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Anwar Shahzad Siddiqui, Nodal Officer for the BSc Aeronautics Programme at JMI, Sanjay Shrivastava, QM at ICPL, and other senior officials.
The BSc Aeronautics dual degree program will provide students with a comprehensive learning experience. Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) will award the BSc degree.
ICPL will issue a Certificate of Recognition (C of R) in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering. Students will be eligible to receive a license issued by DGCA after obtaining the necessary approval from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), Government of India, and successfully clearing the DGCA module exam,
Dr. Najma Akhtar, Vice-Chancellor of Jamia Millia Islamia, has mentioned that "This collaboration with ICPL is a testament to our commitment to providing holistic and industry-relevant education to our students. We believe that the BSc Aeronautics dual degree program will empower students to become highly skilled professionals and contribute to the growth of the aviation industry in India and beyond."
Since its starting in 2018, JMI has been running the BSc Aeronautics dual degree program with remarkable success, witnessing the graduation of multiple batches of students from the course.
Aspirants who successfully graduated have secured placements in organizations such as the Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO), the Indian Army, United Airlines, Indigo Airlines, Air India, Enord Private Limited, etc.
