Jamia Millia Islamia is currently accepting applications for two skill-based, brief courses: Drone Manufacturing and Assembling Assistance and Electronics Hardware Assembling.

New Delhi: Jamia Millia Islamia's Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CIE) is presently accepting applications for two skill-based short-term courses in drone manufacturing and electronics. In accordance with Prime Minister Kaushal Vikas Yojna (PMKVY 4.0), the CIE will offer courses in Drone Manufacturing and Assembling Assistance and Electronics Hardware Assembling.

Students will gain knowledge and practical skills in these developing industries through these courses. The 30 spots available for each course will be filled based on the order in which applications are received. Candidates must have a scientific background, have finished their engineering diploma, have passed the class 12 board exams (10+2), or be enrolled in a B.Tech. or M.Tech. programme.

The courses are open to regular students, graduates, start-up founders in related fields, and working people who want to broaden their skill sets. Candidates should be aware that they can apply online for the JMI short term courses at https://forms.gle/ehUNejjFrZr7CV6QA. prior to June 30th, 2023.

Jamia Millia Islamia has announced that in addition to these skill-based courses, the academic year 2023–2024 will also see the addition of a new Bachelor of Arts (Honors) in Social Work (BSW) degree. The JMI Department of Social Work will be in charge of overseeing this Bachelor's curriculum.

If the candidates meet the prerequisites, they can submit their applications online through the Controller of Examinations, JMI;s official website at jmicoe.in till June 24, 2023. Candidates can utilize the website to make changes to their admission applications between June 26 and June 27, 2023.

On July 15, 2023, the BSW admission test is scheduled to take place. To be eligible for the BSW programme, applicants must receive at least a 55% overall score on their Senior Secondary School Certificate exam from a reputable board. There are twenty seats available for the eight semester long programme. The Bachelor of Arts with Honors in Social Work costs INR 7,200 per year.
