KCET 2026 Round 2 Mock Allotment Result Out; Check Last Date to Modify Options

The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has released the Round 2 mock allotment result. It covers the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) 2026 counselling. Candidates can check the mock allotment on cetonline.karnataka.gov.in. They need their CET number and secret key to log in.

The mock allotment shows the likely college and course for each candidate. It uses options entered till 9 AM on August 13, 2026. Candidates unhappy with the mock seat can now edit their options.

The window to add, remove, delete or rearrange options is now open. It will close at 9 AM on August 20, 2026. The final Round 2 seat allotment will be published soon after.

Who Can Participate in Option Entry Now?

All candidates registered for KCET Round 2 counselling can edit their options. This includes those who did not enter any choices till August 13. They can add fresh options for the first time before the deadline.

Candidates who chose Accept and Freeze in Round 1 are out. Only those still in the counselling pool can take part in Round 2. Candidates must add or edit options only if truly needed.

What Happens After the Final Round 2 Allotment?

The final Round 2 result will appear on the KEA website. Candidates who get a seat will see four choice options. These decide the next step in the counselling process.

• Choice 1: Accept and freeze the allotted seat.
• Choice 2: Accept but try for a better seat later.
• Choice 3: Reject the seat and try again in the next round.
• Choice 4: Exit the counselling process fully.

In Round 2, most candidates get only Choice 1 or Choice 4. This makes the current option entry step very important. A missing or wrong option could cost a candidate a better college.

How to Check the KCET 2026 Round 2 Mock Allotment Result?

Candidates can view the mock allotment in a few simple steps. The process needs the CET number and secret key created at registration.

1. Visit the KEA portal at cetonline.karnataka.gov.in.
2. Click the mock allotment result link for UGCET 2026.
3. Enter your CET number, secret key and captcha code.
4. Submit the details to view the mock allotted seat.
5. Download or take a screenshot for your records.

How to Add or Modify Options Before August 20?

Only candidates who wish to change their choices need to act. Those satisfied with the mock seat may keep the option list unchanged.

1. Log in with your CET number and secret key.
2. Open the option entry link for UGCET Round 2.
3. Add new colleges or courses in your preferred order.
4. Delete or rearrange existing options as needed.
5. Save the final list before 9 AM on August 20, 2026.

Action Plan for Candidates

1. Log in to cetonline.karnataka.gov.in and check the mock allotment.
2. Review the college and course listed against your CET number.
3. Compare it with your original preference list carefully.
4. Add fresh options or delete unwanted ones by August 20.
5. Save and lock your final option list before 9 AM.
