The State Common Entrance Test Cell (CET Cell), Maharashtra, has released the Maharashtra Master of Education Centralized Admission Process (MAH M.Ed CAP) 2026 Round 1 Final Merit List. The list has been published on the official CAP portal at medcap26.mahacet.org. Registered candidates can view their merit rank under the Merit List tab on the portal.
The Final Merit List reflects the ranks of candidates whose applications were successfully verified after the grievance window. Only candidates who locked their application and cleared document verification appear on this list. This list will now be used to conduct the Round 1 seat allotment for M.Ed programmes across participating colleges in Maharashtra.

What Happens After the Final Merit List?
The next stage in the CAP cycle is the Round 1 seat allotment. The CET Cell will use the Final Merit List to allot seats based on merit, category, and college preferences filled by candidates. Candidates who receive a seat must accept it and complete the admission formalities within the deadline set on the portal.
Candidates who do not get a preferred seat can wait for CAP Round 2 and Round 3, which are scheduled later in the counselling calendar. An Institutional ACAP Round is also held for vacant seats at the end of the process.
