MCC NEET MDS 2026 Round 2 Counselling Schedule Released; Check How to Register

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), under the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), has released the NEET MDS 2026 Round 2 counselling schedule. The complete schedule is available on the official MCC website at mcc.nic.in.

The counselling process covers 50 percent All India Quota (AIQ) seats and 100 percent seats in Deemed Universities, Central Universities, and Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS) institutions. Round 2 registration will begin on September 15, 2026, while the seat allotment result will be declared on September 23, 2026.

Which Seats Are Covered Under MCC NEET MDS Counselling?

MCC conducts counselling for postgraduate dental seats under specified national and institutional quotas. Round 2 will cover vacant seats remaining after Round 1 and any newly added seats included in the updated seat matrix.

• 50 percent AIQ seats in government dental colleges
• 100 percent MDS seats in Deemed Universities
• Seats in Central Universities, including DU, BHU, and AMU
• MDS seats covered under AFMS counselling

State quota MDS seats are managed separately by the respective state counselling authorities.

Who Can Register for NEET MDS Round 2?

Eligible candidates who did not register during Round 1 can complete fresh registration from September 15 to September 19, 2026. Candidates who did not receive a seat in Round 1 can also participate in Round 2.

Candidates who joined their Round 1 allotted seat and selected the willingness to upgrade option may submit fresh choices for Round 2. Applicants must have a valid NEET MDS 2026 score and meet the prescribed eligibility conditions.

How to Register for NEET MDS 2026 Round 2 Counselling?

Candidates can complete the registration process through the official MCC counselling portal.

1. Visit mcc.nic.in.
2. Open the NEET MDS Counselling 2026 section.
3. Click on the Round 2 registration link.
4. Enter the required application and personal details.
5. Pay the registration fee and security deposit by September 19, 2026.
6. Fill in the preferred colleges and courses from September 16 to September 20, 2026.
7. Lock the choices between 4:00 PM on September 19 and 10:00 AM on September 20, 2026.
8. Download the confirmation page for future reference.

NEET MDS 2026 Round 2 Seat Allotment and Reporting

MCC will process the Round 2 seat allotment from September 21 to September 22, 2026. The allotment will be based on the candidate’s NEET MDS rank, category, choices submitted, and seat availability.

The Round 2 result will be released on September 23, 2026. Selected candidates must download their allotment letter and report physically to the allotted institute between September 24 and September 30, 2026.

Candidates must carry their original documents, NEET MDS scorecard, allotment letter, identity proof, and applicable category certificates during reporting. Participating institutes will verify and share the data of joined candidates with MCC on October 1, 2026.
