MCC NEET PG 2026 Seat Matrix Out at mcc.nic.in; Check Dates

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), under the Directorate General of Health Services, has released the NEET PG 2026 Round 1 seat matrix on its official portal at mcc.nic.in. The matrix lists college-wise, course-wise, and category-wise seats available for the first round of postgraduate medical counselling.

The seat matrix covers the 50 percent All India Quota (AIQ) seats in government medical colleges. It also includes 100 percent seats in deemed universities, central universities, and Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS) institutions.

Candidates who qualified the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Postgraduate (NEET PG) 2026 can view the matrix before locking their choices. Participating institutes verified their seat details between October 10 and October 12, 2026, before this public release.

What the MCC Seat Matrix Contains

The seat matrix is a detailed document published for every counselling round. It is the primary reference students use before locking their college and course preferences.

Each entry in the matrix specifies the following fields for every participating institute:

  • Name and state of the medical college or deemed university
  • Course or specialisation offered, such as MD, MS, or DNB
  • Total seats available in the round
  • Category-wise break-up across General, EWS, OBC, SC, ST, and PwD
  • Quota type covering AIQ, deemed, central, and AFMS seats

The matrix is released as separate PDF files for each institute group. Candidates must download and compare these files before preference locking.

Who Can Participate in NEET PG 2026 Round 1?

Only candidates who scored at or above the NEET PG 2026 qualifying percentile can register. The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) conducted the exam earlier this year.

Candidates must register separately on the MCC portal even if they have cleared NEET PG. State quota candidates must register on their respective state counselling portals, not with MCC.
