MP B.Tech Counselling 2026 registration is open at dte.mponline.gov.in. Candidates can apply for Round 1 till June 24. The first common merit list based on JEE Main scores will be released on June 29, 2026.

The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Madhya Pradesh has opened the Madhya Pradesh Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) Counselling 2026 registration on its official portal at dte.mponline.gov.in. Candidates seeking admission to first-year B.E./B.Tech programmes across Madhya Pradesh can register online. The Round 1 registration window opened on June 2, 2026 and closes on June 24, 2026.
The first common merit list will be released on June 29, 2026. The merit list will be based on Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2026 scores. Candidates without a valid JEE Main score can apply under the Qualifying Examination based category. That window remains open till July 18, 2026.
MP B.Tech Counselling 2026 covers admission to more than 150 engineering colleges across the state. The entire process is centralised and conducted online. The counselling is held in multiple rounds. Round 2 registration begins on July 11, 2026 and closes on July 18, 2026.

An upgradation phase is also scheduled between the two rounds. The upgradation application window runs from July 3 to July 7, 2026. The updated allotment will be issued between July 11 and July 15, 2026.
Who Is Eligible to Apply?
Candidates must have passed Class 12 from a recognised board. Physics and Mathematics are compulsory subjects at the qualifying level. Admission to the JEE Main pool requires a valid JEE Main 2026 score.
Candidates without a JEE Main score can register under the Qualifying Examination based category. They will be considered only for seats remaining vacant after the JEE Main rounds. Their merit will be drawn from Class 12 marks.
How to Register for MP B.Tech Counselling 2026?
- Visit the official portal at dte.mponline.gov.in.
- Click on the B.Tech counselling registration link.
- Enter your JEE Main 2026 application number and date of birth.
- Fill in personal, academic, and category details on the form.
- Upload required documents in the prescribed format.
- Pay the applicable registration fee online.
- Submit the form and save the confirmation page for records.
Registration is free of cost for general candidates. NRI, PIO, FN, CIWGC and CLC category candidates must pay the prescribed fee. Payment can be made through net banking, debit card, credit card, or UPI.
Madhya Pradesh does not hold a separate state-level entrance exam for B.Tech admissions. JEE Main is the sole basis for the main rounds. This makes the DTE counselling the single gateway to over 150 state engineering colleges.
