TNEA Counselling 2026 Registration Deadline Extended at tneaonline.org; Check New Last Date to Apply

The Directorate of Technical Education (DoTE), Tamil Nadu, has extended the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) 2026 registration deadline on the official website at tneaonline.org. Candidates can now complete the TNEA 2026 application process until June 5, 2026. The earlier last date for registration was June 2, 2026.

The extension gives aspirants three extra days to fill the application form. Document upload on the TNEA portal will remain open until June 6, 2026. The registration process began on May 3, 2026.

TNEA 2026 Registration Fee

The application fee depends on the candidate's category. Payment can be made online through net banking, debit card, credit card, or UPI.

Who Is Eligible to Apply?

Candidates must have passed Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as core subjects. General category aspirants need at least 45 percent aggregate marks in PCM. Reserved category aspirants need a minimum of 40 percent in PCM.

How Is the TNEA Rank List Prepared?

The TNEA rank list is based on normalised marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics from the Class 12 board exam. There is no separate entrance test for admission. The random number assigned on June 10 is used to break ties between candidates with identical scores.

Counselling Rounds and Process

The DoTE will conduct TNEA 2026 counselling in three rounds in online mode. The counselling will include general counselling, supplementary counselling, and SCA to SC counselling.

The full counselling process covers registration, document verification, choice filling, seat allotment, allotment confirmation, fee payment, and reporting to the allotted institution or Tamil Facilitation Centre (TFC).

How to Complete TNEA 2026 Registration?

Candidates who have not yet applied can use the extended window to complete the form. The steps below explain the registration flow on the official portal.

1. Visit the official website at tneaonline.org.
2. Click on the TNEA 2026 registration link on the homepage.
3. Enter basic details and generate the login credentials.
4. Fill the application form with academic and personal information.
5. Upload the required documents in the prescribed format.
6. Pay the application fee as per category.
7. Submit the form and download the confirmation page.

Action Plan for Candidates

1. Visit tneaonline.org and complete the registration by June 5, 2026.
2. Keep Class 10 and Class 12 mark sheets, community certificate, and ID proof ready.
3. Upload all required documents on the portal by June 6, 2026.
4. Pay the application fee online as per your category.
5. Track the certificate verification status between June 8 and June 20, 2026.
6. Save the random number and rank list dates for future reference.
