Mumbai University released the PG first merit list 2026 on June 3 at muadmission.samarth.edu.in. Selected candidates must complete document verification and pay admission fees by June 6 to confirm their postgraduate seats.

The University of Mumbai (MU) has released the Postgraduate (PG) First Merit List 2026 on the official admission portal at muadmission.samarth.edu.in. The merit list covers PG programmes across MU departments and affiliated colleges for the 2026-27 academic session.
Candidates whose names appear in the first merit list must complete document verification and pay the admission fee by June 6, 2026. Seats will be confirmed only after the fee is paid within the allotted window. Candidates who miss the deadline will lose the allotted seat for the current round.
The first merit list follows the PG provisional merit list released on June 1, 2026. Online registration for MU PG admission opened on May 9, 2026 and closed on May 30, 2026 at 11:59 pm.

How to Check the MU PG First Merit List 2026?
Selected candidates can view their allotment status through the Samarth admission portal using their registered login. The merit list is also published college-wise on respective department pages.
- Visit the official portal at muadmission.samarth.edu.in.
- Click on the PG admission login link on the homepage.
- Enter your registered email and password to sign in.
- Open the merit list or seat allotment section on the dashboard.
- Download the allotment letter and save a copy for records.

How to Pay the Admission Fee and Confirm the Seat?
Fee payment is a mandatory step for seat confirmation. The portal accepts online payments through standard digital modes.
- Log in to the Samarth PG admission portal with your credentials.
- Open the allotment letter and review the programme details.
- Upload the required documents for verification by the college.
- Pay the admission fee through net banking, debit card, credit card or UPI.
- Download the fee receipt and the final admission confirmation.
Documents Required for Verification
Candidates must keep scanned copies ready before starting the verification step. Original documents may be required at the college level.
- Class 10 and Class 12 marksheets
- Graduation marksheets and degree certificate
- Transfer Certificate and Migration Certificate
- Caste, EWS or PwD certificate where applicable
- Aadhaar card and passport-size photograph
- MU PG application form and allotment letter
The June 6 deadline is firm. Candidates who skip fee payment in this round move to the waiting pool. Their seats are released for the next round of allotment.
