NEET PG 2026 Cutoff Released at natboard.edu.in; Check Category-Wise Qualifying Percentile

The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has issued the cutoff. It released the NEET PG 2026 qualifying percentile at natboard.edu.in. NEET PG stands for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Postgraduate. The cutoff lists the marks candidates must clear for counselling entry.

The notice appeared on September 24, 2026. It applies to MD, MS, PG Diploma, and DNB admissions this year. Qualified candidates can now prepare for the counselling process ahead. The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will conduct the All India Quota rounds.

NEET PG 2026 Qualifying Percentile by Category

The qualifying percentile decides who becomes eligible for counselling. It differs by category as per NBEMS rules.

What Is the Difference Between Percentile and Marks?

The NEET PG cutoff is set in percentile, not raw marks. A 50th percentile score means the candidate scored better than half. The exact mark that equals this percentile changes each year.

NBEMS calculates the percentile after the exam based on all scores. The lowest raw mark matching the cutoff percentile qualifies the candidate. This system keeps the cutoff fair across different exam difficulty levels.

Who Is Eligible for Counselling?

Only candidates who score at or above the category cutoff qualify. These candidates enter the AIQ counselling conducted by MCC. The AIQ pool covers 50 percent of the postgraduate medical seats.

The remaining 50 percent state quota seats fall to state authorities. Each state runs its own counselling round for those seats. Qualified candidates must register on both MCC and state portals separately.

How to Register for MCC Counselling?

Qualified candidates must wait for the MCC counselling schedule. Registration opens on the official MCC website when the round begins. Candidates fill personal details and pay the counselling fee online.

Choice filling and seat allotment follow after registration ends. Candidates then report to the allotted institute within the given window. State counselling requires a separate registration on the state portal.
