The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has released the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Postgraduate (NEET PG) 2026 counselling schedule. Round 1 registration begins on October 12, 2026 at mcc.nic.in. The seat allotment result will be declared on October 24, 2026.
The schedule covers 50 percent All India Quota (AIQ) postgraduate medical seats. It also includes seats in deemed and central universities. Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS) institutions are part of this counselling. The remaining 50 percent state quota seats will be managed by respective state authorities.

State counselling authorities will release separate schedules for 50 percent state quota seats. Candidates must register with both MCC and their respective state portal if they wish to be considered for both quotas.

Documents Required for NEET PG 2026 Counselling
Candidates must keep the following documents ready during registration and reporting:
- NEET PG 2026 admit card and scorecard
- MBBS degree certificate and all mark sheets
- Permanent or provisional medical registration certificate
- Internship completion certificate
- Class 10 and Class 12 mark sheets
- Valid photo identity proof such as Aadhaar or PAN card
- Category certificate for reserved candidates, if applicable
- PwD certificate issued by the competent authority, if applicable

Who Conducts NEET PG 2026 Counselling?
The MCC under the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) conducts the AIQ counselling. It handles seats in deemed universities, central universities, and AFMS institutions. State counselling authorities handle state quota seats under their respective health departments.

How to Register for NEET PG 2026 Counselling?
Candidates can complete the Round 1 registration using the steps below:
- Visit the official MCC portal at mcc.nic.in.
- Click on the NEET PG 2026 counselling registration link.
- Enter your NEET PG 2026 roll number and required details.
- Fill the registration form with personal and academic information.
- Pay the counselling fee using net banking, debit card, or credit card.
- Submit the form and download the confirmation page.
The Round 1 window spans just ten days for registration. Candidates missing the October 21 deadline will have to wait for Round 2. Early document verification and choice filling improve seat allotment chances.
