The semester-wise fee is around ₹2.44 lakh for MDes, with scholarships and fee waivers available for SC, ST, and OBC categories

The National Institute of Design has released the NID MDes 2026 fee structure on its official website - admissions.nid.edu. The aspirants can check the NID MDes fee structure 2026 in the admission handbook published by the institute. The NID fee structure for M.Des includes the refundable student deposit and nonrefundable fees such as tuition fee, insurance, hostel fee, and so on.
NID fees structure for MDes per semester is around Rs 2,44,500. NID fee structure for OBC and SC students is almost similar to the fee structure of the general category, but comes with government-prescribed fee waivers and scholarship provisions.
The NID M.Des entrance exam will be conducted for admissions into the M.Des programme of three NID campuses at Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, and Bengaluru.

Hostel facility is available only at the Gandhinagar Campus, mess charges are announced at the start of each academic year, and a refundable deposit of ₹10,000 is payable once at the beginning of the first semester.
