The NITIE and NSE have collaborated to boost academic and research collaboration in the fields of finance and economics.

New Delhi: The National Institute of Industrial Engineering (NITIE) in Mumbai, one of the top business schools in the nation that offers education, training, and industrial consulting in the field of engineering management, and the National Stock Exchange of India Limited (NSE), India's leading stock exchange, have signed an MoU for academic and research collaboration in the field of finance and economics.

The MOU covers a broad range of activities, such as building capacity through the design and development of courses in Finance & Economics, conducting research in cutting-edge fields like Fintech, and hosting seminars, conferences, and symposia among others, with the overarching goal of developing a talent pool that is ready for the industry by utilising shared capabilities.

Additionally, NSE and NITIE will collaborate to advance general financial market knowledge, policy advocacy, and the nation's literature on financial market research. At NSE's headquarters, Prof. Vivekanand Khanapuri, Dean (Sponsored Research & Industrial Consultancy), NITIE, and Dr. Tirthankar Patnaik, Chief Economist, signed the MOU in the presence of senior NITIE faculty members and Shri.

Ashishkumar Chauhan, MD & CEO of NSE on June 22, 2023. On this occasion, Shri Ashishkumar Chauhan said, “For our nation to achieve greater financial inclusion, financial market education is essential.

The youth of today are the growth engines of our nation, so they must have access to the greatest educational programmes that are created to match the needs of the modern economy and give students the skills they need to realise their career goals and attain financial independence. The NSE is pleased to engage with NITIE to improve financial education in India, which will help the market, the economy, and investors”.

Prof. Manoj Kumar Tiwari, Director, NITIE stated, “This is an important occasion for us since it will provide our students more opportunities to learn about finance. The staff and students at NITIE have extensive knowledge and analytical skills that would be beneficial to the NSE.

Additionally, the collaborative effort's synergistic benefits will aid in creating the talent pool India's developing financial sector needs. I have faith that this collaboration will have fruitful and good results”.
