New Delhi: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has added a new JEE Main 2024 exam centre in Abu Dhabi. The candidates who have applied for the JEE Main 2024 but wish to change their exam center to Abu Dhabi will be allowed to add the newest center as their preference during the correction period.
NTA will soon release the schedule of the correction period. NTA holds the JEE Main exam in Dubai and Sharjah every year, and Abu Dhabi is the newly added center for the exam. This change was announced after IIT Delhi opened a new campus in Abu Dhabi and will start offering degrees from 2024 onwards.
NTA has also decided to disable the result mode field and the associated fields for marks and CGPA to support the students of Tamil Nadu who had qualified for Class 10 in 2020-21 and Tamil Nadu State Board candidates.
No marks were given in the Tamil Nadu Class 10 and 12 mark sheets. Only ‘pass’ is printed in all subjects with a disclaimer: “As per G.O. (Ms) No. 48, School Education (G.E.) department dated: 25.02.2021, all candidates who studied SSLC in the academic year 2020-21 are declared passed.”
The NTA has decided that during the filling up of the online JEE application form, when candidates select ‘Passing year’ as 2021 with ‘School Board’ as Tamil Nadu State Board, the result mode field will be disabled, and the associated fields, including total marks, obtained marks, percentage of marks will also be invisible. The same rule will apply to candidates who have already registered and paid the fees.
