Puducherry Class 10 Exams Stand Cancelled, Students to be Promoted

The Puducherry government has announced to cancel class 10th examinations. The decision is taken in view of COVID-19 crisis.

Puducherry Chief Minister V Narayanasamy said that all the students of class 10 will be promoted to the next class without holding annual board examinations.

CM also said that holding virtual classes for class 10th students will not be feasible as most of the students in rural areas don't have smartphones.

Earlier on March 25, 2020, Puducherry government announced that under the strict lockdown all-round the country it is not feasible to conduct annual examination for the students of Class I to IX. To safeguard the students, the Puducherry government decided to cancel the examinations for class I to IX.
