The Punjab Government allowed the reopening of the schools for students from September 21. Abiding by the rules of Unlock-4.0, the state Government announced on September 20 to reopen schools and institutes.
According to the instruction prescribed, research scholars and postgraduate students enrolled in technical or professional courses requiring experimental work can go to college. Due to an upsurge in COVID-19 cases, Schools and educational institutes were closed since March.

Skill development centers also to function regularly
The state Home Department has also permitted skill or entrepreneurship training in National Skill Training Institutes (NSTI), Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs), and short-term training centers.
Though training centers should be registered with the National Skill Development Corporation or State Skill Development Missions or other ministries of the Government of India or state governments.
Following all the SOP’s, the National Institute for Entrepreneurship and Small Business Developments (NIESBUD), the Indian Institute of Entrepreneurship (IIE) and their training providers have been also permitted to function smoothly.
SOP’s to be Followed by Students
Voluntary students of classes 9 to 12 can visit the school to clear their doubts on respective topics. Students, residing outside high-risk containment zones will only be allowed to visit the schools.
Following SOPs, Students will also have to secure the written consent of their guardians. Wearing a Face mask is a must for every student.
