SEBA Reduces the Syllabus for HSLC 2021 by 30%

Following the syllabus reduction measures taken by many boards, the Secondary Education Board of Assam (SEBA) has decided to reduce the syllabus for HSLC exams 2021 by 30%.

This syllabus reduction is a one time measure taken in the wake of COVID-19 due to which there are fewer teaching hours and a burden to complete the syllabus within a stipulated time. The reduced syllabus will be made available in PDF format.

The new curriculum will be available on the official website of SEBA for ease of access for parents, students, and teachers. 

SEBA Chairman, Ramesh Chandra Jain said, "The move will help the students to cope with the loss caused due to ongoing pandemic."

Earlier the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) had announced to reduce the syllabus for classes 11 and 12 by 30%. This has to be implemented for all the streams of the two classes.

With the rise in COVI-19 cases, the state government has issued a revised order to keep the schools closed until September 30, 2020.
