SPPU To Conduct Final Year Exam; Around 9K Students Not Reachable
Out of the 2.5 Lakh registered students for the SPPU Final examination, 9000 students are still not reachable.
Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) is conducting the final semester examination from October 12, 2020. Over 2.5 Lakh students have registered for the final semester examination.
The students were given the choice to choose online or offline mode of examination according to their preference.
Mahesh Kakade, controller of the board of examinations and evaluation informed that when the final counting was made there were about 14,000 students who haven’t chosen the mode of examination.
The University officials have sent bulk messages to them and tried reaching them through college. 5,000 students of those 14,000, chose the online mode of examination.
He mentioned that even after several attempts to reach them, the University is unsuccessful in reaching those 9000 students.
Mahesh Kakade also mentioned that the option is still open for them and even if they can’t appear for the examination, they will be allowed to appear for it in the later stage.
Several final year students of SPPU faced issues during the mock test because they could not remember their email id and password. The University has advised them to reach the IT support for password regeneration or registering new mail id.
1.90 Lakh students have appeared for the mock test so far but several attempts made by few students make the count go up to 2.80 Lakh.
Students have been continuously expressing their consent over social media platforms.
They are complaining that the university has not provided question banks for all the subjects. They also mentioned that few question banks contain very few questions.
Kakad told that the university has uploaded question banks for 750 subjects and the process is going on to upload question banks for 2500 subject more within a day.
He also mentioned that they have answered all the queries related to technical issues received during the mock test in a FAQ format and uploaded in the official website of the University.
Hence students can check the official website of the university in case of any issue and they can contact the Helpline at 9717796797, he added.
