The Government College of Technology (GCT), Coimbatore has released the Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET) 2026 initial seat matrix on the official counselling portal at tn-mbamca.com. The matrix has been published after the Differently Abled Persons (DAP) counselling round and before the general counselling begins.
As per the notification, a total of 15,082 MBA seats and 5,526 MCA seats are on offer for admission in the 2026-27 academic session. The seats are spread across government, university, and self-financing institutes participating in the centralised counselling.
The seat matrix has been split into two separate PDF documents. Candidates can download the MBA and MCA seat matrix directly from the official portal for a college-wise view of the available seats.

The 339 MBA institutes and 181 MCA institutes include the Anna University departments, university constituent colleges, government-aided colleges, and self-financing colleges across Tamil Nadu. Category-wise reservation is applied to the seat pool as per Tamil Nadu government norms.

Counselling Fee for General Round
The counselling processing fee is Rs 800 for candidates in the general category. Candidates from reserved categories will pay Rs 400. The fee is payable online through the counselling portal at the time of registration confirmation.
The initial seat matrix is the reference document for choice filling. The seat count in each college may change slightly after each allotment round based on withdrawals and vacancies.
