The University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES) has opened Round 6 admissions for 2026-27. Candidates can apply online at upes.ac.in till June 15, 2026 and the examination will be held on June 18, 2026.
The round covers undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmes across seven schools. It includes B.Tech, MBA, B.Des, BBA, LL.B., B.Pharm., MCA and PhD streams.

Programmes Open for Round 6
UPES is accepting applications across its seven schools for 2026. Each school offers multiple specialisations linked to industry demand.
- Engineering: B.Tech and M.Tech across core and computing branches
- Management: BBA, BBA+MBA, B.Com and MBA
- Design: B.Des and M.Des with multiple specialisations
- Law: 5-year integrated BA LL.B. and LL.M.
- Health Sciences: B.Pharm. and B.Sc.
- Computer Applications: BCA and MCA
- Doctoral: PhD across all schools
Who Is Eligible to Apply?
Most UG programmes need 50 percent in Class 10 and Class 12. Some streams ask for higher subject-wise scores.
B.Tech applicants need 50 percent in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. The Mathematics and Computing branch raises this bar to 70 percent. Postgraduate streams need 50 percent in graduation.
What Are the Selection Pathways?
UPES offers multiple admission routes for the same programme. Candidates may pick the one that suits them best.
- UPESEAT for B.Tech and UPESMET for management programmes
- UPESDAT for design and UPESLAT for law programmes
- National test scores such as JEE Main, CAT, CLAT and SAT
- Board merit route for students with strong Class 12 marks
Class 12 toppers with 80 percent in PCM may skip UPESEAT entirely. They can secure direct admission to B.Tech under the merit route.
