UPTAC 2026 Round 1 Registration Extended to June 30 at uptac.samarth.edu.in; Check Revised Schedule

Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) has extended the UPTAC 2026 Round 1 registration deadline to June 30, 2026. Eligible candidates can complete the registration process through the official portal, uptac.samarth.edu.in. Along with the extension, the university has also issued a revised counselling schedule for BTech admissions.

The Uttar Pradesh Technical Admission Counselling (UPTAC) 2026 is conducted for admission to government, government-aided, and private engineering colleges affiliated with AKTU. The counselling is open to JEE Main 2026 qualified candidates who have passed Class 12 from Uttar Pradesh or are UP domicile candidates.

Candidates are required to pay a non-refundable registration fee of Rs 1,000 while completing the online registration. After seat allotment, candidates must pay the seat confirmation fee according to their category.

How to Register for UPTAC 2026 Round 1

Candidates applying in the regular counselling rounds must complete fresh registration before the deadline. Registration is allowed only during Round 1 and will not reopen in Rounds 2, 3, or 4. However, fresh registration will be available again during the Special Round.

• Click on the New Candidate Registration link.
• Enter your JEE Main 2026 Roll Number and Date of Birth.
• Fill in your personal, academic, and contact details.
• Upload the required documents in the prescribed format.
• Pay the Rs 1,000 registration fee through UPI, Net Banking, Debit Card, or Credit Card.
• Submit the application form and download the confirmation page for future reference.

How the Registration Deadline Has Changed

AKTU has revised the UPTAC 2026 registration deadline multiple times during the current admission cycle.

What Happens After Round 1?

Following the completion of Round 1, AKTU will conduct Rounds 2, 3, and 4 for eligible candidates. Round 4 will include auto-freezing of all allotted seats, followed by physical reporting at the allotted institutes.

Candidates who have physically reported to their allotted colleges will be eligible for Internal Sliding (Round 5) if vacancies remain. Thereafter, Special Round 1 and Special Round 2 will be conducted for vacant seats, allowing eligible candidates with JEE Main 2026, CUET (UG) 2026, or 10+2 qualifications to participate as per the counselling rules.

Candidates are advised to complete registration before June 30, regularly monitor the official UPTAC portal, and participate in choice filling, seat allotment, and reporting according to the revised schedule to avoid missing any admission deadlines.
