Seat Allocation at CEPT University
CEPT University follows a two-route seat allocation policy for its undergraduate Faculty of Architecture programmes. The split is based on the candidate's qualifying board.
25 percent of seats are filled by the Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC), Government of Gujarat. These seats are reserved for candidates who have passed Class 12 from schools located in Gujarat.
75 percent of seats are filled directly by CEPT University under the All India Category. Candidates from across India apply through the CEPT admissions portal.

How Is the Merit List Calculated?
CEPT University uses a normalised merit formula for shortlisting candidates. The aggregate marks of all subjects in the Class 12 qualifying examination carry 50 percent weightage. The valid NATA 2026 score carries the remaining 50 percent weightage.
Both components are normalised before the final merit rank is prepared. Final admission depends on the candidate's position in the merit list and seat availability under the chosen route.
CEPT is one of the few Indian universities offering a dedicated five-year Bachelor of Urban Design degree at the undergraduate level. Most peer institutions offer urban design only as a postgraduate specialisation, making this a rare direct pathway.
