Uttarakhand VCs: College Exams to get Delayed

A meeting of vice-chancellors (VC) of state universities was chaired by the Governor of Uttarakhand, Baby Rani Maurya via video conferencing from Raj Bhawan on Thursday.

In the meeting, the VC’s maintained that the examinations and academic sessions would be delayed this year as many colleges are now turned into quarantine centers.

Moreover, all medical colleges are operating as COVID-19 dedicated facilities amid the Coronavirus pandemic.

During the video conference, Vice-Chancellor of Pantnagar University, Tej Pratap informed that a large part of the university campus and hostel has been made into a quarantine center.

"There will be no entrance exams in the university this year, as admissions will be given on merit basis. All the preparations have been completed for the exams of final year students in August”, he added.

In light of the Covid-19 pandemic, many universities and colleges across the nation have postponed or cancelled entrance examinations as well as semester exams.
