The West Bengal Government on October 5 has signed an agreement with IIM Calcutta-run Entrepreneur and Innovation Park to set up a Technology Development and Adaptation Centre (TDAC) to set up the Technology Development and Adaptation Centre.
The Technology Development Centre will build technologies that will address the need-based and location-specific problems.
In an official release, it is said that the IIM Calcutta-run Entrepreneur and Innovation Park and the state Department of Science and Technology and Biotechnology have come to a mutual understanding to set up TDAC.
The TDAC was set up through the West Bengal Science and Technology Council. The objective to set up TDAC is to build and nurture the ecosystem to support science and technology-led entrepreneurship and promote Scientific research and innovation.
The official release also stated that TDAC will entail mentoring product development which motivates youth to take up S&T [Science and Technology] entrepreneurship and support job creation and employment.
It said that the promising S&T solutions/research in the state will enable sustainable ventures, businesses, and facilitate commercialization of research output.
IIM Calcutta is the first Indian Institute of Management to be established in India. It is considered to be one of the best business schools in the world for finance-related courses. The institute provides Post Graduate, Executive, and Doctoral level programs in the field of management.
Recently, IIMC also collaborated with FinTech to introduce its new Advanced Course on Fintech and Financial Blockchain. The course has been structured and designer for a span of 6 months. The foundation modules of the program will discuss topics such as Digital Payments, Data Analysis, Financial Fintech Issues, and other similar subjects. Read More
