Is the PGDM program from NMIMS worth it? Or should I opt for a regular distance MBA from SMUDE?

UK
Utsav Kamra Posted On : March 9th, 2023
Indian Institute of Management, Kashipur

Some of the prominent features of the NMIMS blended learning program include online weekend lectures, access to best-in-class content, academic excellence, case studies and assignments for every subject, accreditation, and recognition by UGC-DEB AICTE, online exams and submissions, personal contact sessions, student portal updates, and industry acceptance ratio.

It is essential to choose wisely when selecting a program. Consider your personal preferences and needs, as well as the offerings of each institute. With a blended learning experience and strong industry acceptance ratio, NMIMS is a great option to consider, especially for those who wish to pursue certification courses.

If you are considering business schools, then NMIMS Mumbai should be among your top choices as it is considered to be one of the best in the country.

It is worth noting that, in my experience, distance MBA programs are not as effective as in-person programs. While you may learn 50% of the material from academics, the other 50% comes from interacting and learning from your peers. In-person programs provide more opportunities for peer learning, which can be difficult to replicate in distance MBA programs.

Is there someone who declined the PGP admission offer from IIM Ahmedabad?

KS
Kartikey Singh Posted On : November 15th, 2022
Studied at Indian Institute of Management Bangalore

Many people have chosen IIM Bangalore over IIM Ahmedabad. Everyone says IIM Ahmedabad has a better brand and a larger alumni network, but neither factor is particularly appealing to those who are considering leaving.

Many undergrads, particularly those with offers from consulting firms, investment banks, or private equity firms, choose their current job over an MBA at IIM A/B/C. After earning an MBA from a foreign university, these men can use their experience to land better jobs.

What's the highest package of NIT Manipur?

VT
Vivek Taneja Posted On : May 27th, 2021
B.Tech Mechanical Engineering, National Institute of Technology, Manipur (2019)

My brother is a third-year student of the CSE branch at NIT Manipur and he is preparing for the placements. Despite the fact it is newly established, his seniors’ placement record was quite good.

Here are a few insights into the placement packages at NIT Manipur.

  • The average salary package offered is usually around 4-6 LPA.
  • A couple of years ago the highest package was hardly about 10 LPA that too for very selective students. However, it has improved in recent years.
  • Last year, three students received a package of 17 LPA in BPCL. All three students belonged to different branches namely CSE, Mechanical, and Civil. This is the highest package till now. The second highest package of 10 LPA at Microsoft was bagged by a guy from the CSE branch.

Overall, NIT Manipur has managed to get fairly good packages as compared to other newly established NITs. Although the highest package varies every year, it is never less than 12-15 LPA according to recent years’ placement records.

What order should I give in my preference list for IIT Goa, IIT Jammu, IIT Dharwad, IIT Tirupati, IIT Palakkad and IIT Bhilai?

SS
Sasha Saxena Posted On : March 26th, 2021
Studied B.Tech at Indian Institute of Technology Dharwad (2019).

Well, there is no ideal order that can be given. Within a year or two, CSE in all the New IITs will get over 2500 JEE rank. IIT Bhilai will be a better choice than other New IITs. IIT Bhilai really looks promising.

IIT Hyderabad under its dynamic and visionary director has done a very prompt job. A good facility and a good hostel have been made available. Timetable and faculty are nice. IIT Hyderabad is growing very revolutionary. They are even putting a 3D printing Lab for the first year.

IIT Jammu has been the only IIT in the history of IITs to have started operating from its permanent campus location in just the second year of its opening i.e. from August 2017 (beating every old IITs in this regard).

And If we talk about IIT Raipur, then it is well connected by air i.e., quite open as compared to other IITs.

What is the minimum cutoff to join tnau?

SC
Shreyashi Roy Chowdhury Posted On : October 6th, 2021
B.Tech Agricultural Engineering, Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India

As per the recent cutoff trends, a cut-off of about 190 and above is best to get shortlisted for a B.Sc Agri course at TNAU.

If not, there are different other courses, with a somewhat similar backdrop, like horticulture, forestry, home science, food science, agribusiness management, and more, that require a relatively lower cutoff, as opposed to Agricultural Sciences.

Also, there are various other colleges affiliated under TNAU with required cutoffs lower than the former.
