Which is better: Anna University or IIT Madras?
Both Anna University and IIT Madras function under the Government of India and thus have a great research culture. But IIT Madras is a much better option than Anna University.

What hostel block should I choose for Manipal University Jaipur?
The first-year students at Manipal University don’t get to choose their blocks. They are only given two choices namely B1/B2 and B7. B1 and B2 are the oldest blocks of the university and usually accommodate freshers. B7 on the other hand is the newest boys' block.
If you ever get the chance to choose one between the two, I would suggest choosing B7. This block has been constructed recently and has brand-new infrastructure and facilities. Moreover, this block is closest to the mess, the gym. It also has amazing sports facilities.
So go for B7 unless you want to be under the guidance of your seniors. In that case, you can go for B1 or B2.
Why is Karunya University underrated even though it is producing a good placement record?
There are several reasons for this, including the fact that Karunya generally advertises only in the southern regions of Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Andhra Pradesh. As a result, there will be more students from here. Most North Indian students who come here learn about Karunya through alumni. Students are not given many opportunities to showcase their talents, such as singing and dancing. Doing dance numbers to Bollywood/Hollywood songs, for example. There is one thing to point out even though Karunya believes in a value-based education system yet prayers are given more weight than studies.
In comparison to other universities, there is little freedom. Most people, especially outsiders mistake this location for a Christian conversion site, which is completely false. - Department change happens after the end of the first year during which students of every branch study similar courses
- The change is based on your CGPA and category
- On an estimated 50 students from the General Category and 15 from the reserved category are allowed to change their departments
- CGPA should be above 8 to be eligible for branch change
Now if we roughly calculate 6-7 students from a textile branch out of 55 are eligible for branch change. The competition seems to be tough and you are required to maintain a certain CGPA to target a certain branch. The CG required to transfer to the following branches are

- Metallurgy: 9.6
- EE: 9.4
- Mechanical: 8.8
- Chemistry: 8.4
If you are confident that you can achieve the required CG with the given competition, you can take them risk. But hear me out, even if you don’t manage to do so, remember branches can be switched in MTech too. Moreover, doing BTech from IIT Delhi will only open more opportunities and won't become a disappointment.
What is the scope of MTech in biomedical engineering from IIT Bombay?
The scope of every course spreads over a wide spectrum and cannot be generalized since it's based on one's interests and preferences. However, I have written about the scope of an M.Tech in Biomedical Engineering based on some major aspects
- Job Prospects: This course offers a number of non-core jobs and core jobs. However, very limited core roles are offered that too with low packages. Many non-core jobs are offered but these are targeted by many; dual degree holders as well as M.Tech. students from other branches so the competition is high. You will have to portray your personality and leadership traits in order to get such roles.
- Higher Study: IIT Bombay has highly learned professors who have completed their research in elite institutes in the USA before joining IIT Bombay. Joining Ph.D. under them or getting recommendation letters can get you good research positions in top institutes. You will have to work hard to meet the right professor that offers you the best project to work on.
- Education: Department of Biosciences and Bioengineering in IIT Bombay is more inclined towards Biosciences than core Engineering so it's recommended you take courses from the Electrical Engineering department also. It might be difficult if you don't have a good knowledge of the same but trust me it will help you in the long run.
- Entrepreneurship: IIT Bombay has a rich startup culture and has given birth to many co-founders. Entrepreneurship broadens the scope for others. For instance, many physicians join to help you.
So we can safely conclude that the scope of M.Tech in Biomedical Engineering from IIT Bombay is wide and offers an abundance of opportunities.
How can I get my degree from AKTU Lucknow? What is the procedure there?
The degrees of all the courses either graduate or postgraduate in AKTU are distributed during the Convocation Ceremony of the respective colleges. There is a chance that your college did not conduct such a ceremony. In this case, the degrees are usually sent to the respective colleges which are kept there for around 2 years. After this, the degrees are sent back to AKTU, Lucknow.
To get your degree then the only option left is to visit AKTU personally and submit an application detailing your issue along with essential documents like mark sheets and your ID card. The Vice-Chancellor of AKTU is Mr. Vinay Kumar Pathak. He will help you in this matter. Go to his office and submit the documents and soon your degree will be handed over to you.
Which is a better B-school in general, NITIE or IIMs?
NITIE was not established to compete with the IIMs. It was established with the aim of making Engineers into good managers who have decent technical and managerial skills required across industries.
But, since the PGDIM & PGDISEM programs of NITIE admit students through CAT, people do compare the college with IIMs. Still, in case you want to know where NITIE stands among reputed B-Schools of India, I will say it falls in cluster - 2.

Despite being in a different cluster, the course structure, rigor, placements, industrial exposure, and batch quality of NITIE are on par with the old IIMs. NITIE also has a locational advantage. The alumni base of NITIE is huge and they regularly visit the campus for guest lectures, seminars, and placements.
So, IIMs and NITIE are different types of B-Schools and it’s not possible to give a conclusive comparison between them.

How is the checking of answer sheets in IGNOU? Is it too hard?
The marking method of IGNOU is a serious one. You cannot just simply write anything and assume they don’t check the papers properly. The invigilators check the papers thoroughly and you cannot mislead them.
You will score good marks only if your answers are good. They should be directly linked to the question. If the examiner finds unrelated answers, this may backfire on you. So it’s easy for those who write exact answers and difficult for those who just write anything to get marks.
