How can I download IGNOU study material PDF?
You can download IGNOU study material 2022 from the official website of eGyanKosh. It is a national digital repository for all learning resources of IGNOU.
- Visit the website, and fill in the registration form.
- After registration, login and enter your course name or course code, or relevant keyword in the search window.
- Enter your course or course code to view or download the study material. Click on respective blocks and under the list of items, you will find respective links.
- To download click on the view/download option.

What is the average package for CSE at NIT Agartala?
NIT Agartala does not release official statements of branch-wise statistics so it's difficult to produce data on the same. However, I asked a few friends regarding the CSE placements at NIT Agartala. Based on what I heard from them, the placements are decent. Almost 100% of students were placed in 2022 and the average package is INR 13–14 LPA. The highest package was recorded at around INR 53 LPA while the lowest package was INR 8.5 LPA.
Many top companies visit the campus for recruitment and the institute has an active training and placement cell that offers assistance to the students in securing internships and placements.

Could you please give some tips to score more than 400+ in BITSAT?
The BITSAT exam requires clear concepts and good time management. People may advise you that if you prepare well for JEE Main and JEE Advanced, you will be prepared for BITSAT. This is not entirely true. You may have a clear concept about the subjects once you prepare well for JEE Mains and Advanced but that does not mean you will be able to score 400+
Given below are a few tips which you can follow to score well.
- For Chemistry, you should prepare from NCERT books thoroughly. This subject determines the ultimate score of this entrance exam. NCERT books are enough for Chemistry preparation. BITS is known to ask questions from NCERT books.
- Maths and physics are entirely conceptual and you need a positive grip on both of these subjects to do well in the exam. For Physics, the Universe chapter is important in this regard. You can follow the Arihant books for the chapter.
- After making a subject-based study, you should do practice questions with proper time management for each section. Arihant’s BITSAT book is best for chapter-wise preparation. Also, try to solve the previous year’s questions.
- Give regular mocks and try to solve the paper within 3 hours. Further, try reducing the time you need to answer all the questions without making any mistakes.
- Arihant’s practice series can be a bit difficult. You can opt for the embibe test series.
- You can’t learn English and logic in just a year. To get an idea about the questions asked in the examination, you can follow the Arihant books.
The score of this exam depends on accuracy, conceptual clarity, and speed. So, try to prepare for the same with proper practice.
What is the procedure/conditions for changing my engineering college after the first year under the Pune University?
You can definitely change after your first year at Pune University. The procedure includes fulfilling some requirements,
- First of all, you will need a very good aggregate in the first year.
- You will need NOC from your previous college.
- You will require your 1st-year marksheet and your class 10th and 12th mark sheets.
It is really a very easy procedure, Many of my friends have also followed these steps and successfully changed from one college to another without much hassle.
Is there any cut-off to apply to Ashoka University? What has been the lowest percentage (i.e. in the 12th Boards) of anyone who got into Ashoka University's UG Program?
One of my junior from school received admission offer for the batch of 2023 at Ashoka University. Ashoka University courses don’t have any fixed cutoff. If you apply the admission office will evaluate your profile by taking everything into account. Your essays, interview, ECs will play a major role in the selection. So, you don’t need to worry about the lowest marks required as it is not relevant to your candidature.
How is Purulia Government Engineering College?
A senior of mine who was a student of Purulia Government Engineering College has strictly advised me not to apply for this college.
His reasons for this suggestion are listed below:
- The college was under construction when he was a student. Most of the labs of the college were underdeveloped. Even school labs are better off than the ones of the college.
- The total construction budget of the college is 36 crores which is very less when it comes to engineering colleges. The annual budget of colleges like Kalyani Government College and Jalpaiguri College is much higher than that of Purulia Engineering College.
- The college is in a remote location which can also be a hindrance for both students both current and hopeful.
- There is no internship and in all probability, no placement.
- For coaching for GATE exams, you’ll have to travel to Kolkata which can be as long as 8 hours.
If you have got Jadavpur University, IEM, KGEC (CSE, IT, ECE), then you should stop thinking about Purulia as those institutes are some of the best.
Jalpaiguri, GCECT, GCELT, or any other government college is also a very good choice. You can also join Techno or Heritage depending on your ranking.
My senior made the mistake of joining Purulia Government Engineering College. Even if you have joined already, don’t quit working hard. The future is unpredictable.
Which is the best hostel at SASTRA University?
PV Paramandra Vihar Hostel is the best at SASTRA University. A few of my friends stayed in PV. According to them, the facilities offered at the hostel are good. There are no water problems. Although at other hostels, you will face this problem from time to time.
At PV, the hostel fees are also quite less. There is good ventilation. So, even if there is a power cut, you can sleep well. The only problem is the mess. It is situated on the ground floor and there are only two staircases. During rainy seasons, it gets a bit difficult to reach the mess.
What things I should keep in mind while starting my first year at IIT Kanpur?
While starting your first year at IIT Kanpur you can be prepared for many things in advance that will give you a good start in the college
- Put your academics before everything, even extracurricular activities. Nothing I repeat nothing is worth it if your academic performance is poor.
- Listen to the advice of your seniors but only pay heed to those which you feel are right. Don’t believe anyone blindly as they are both your best friends and worst enemies.
- Follow your passion, explore your interests, and do everything you can while you are at it.
- Building a genuine resume that is impactful yet portrays you just the way you are without any exaggerations.
- Stop running after PoRs as they do little to add value to your resume
- Socialize well and develop an extrovert personality. Be bold and confident with your opinions.
- Don’t skip classes at any cost, no matter how useless they seem.
- Manage your time well. You will be surrounded by fun activities and distractions but balance your studies and extracurricular in such a way that your grades aren’t affected.
For starters, these points will help you kick-start a smooth college life at IIT Kanpur!
Why don’t people prefer NIT Agartala?
My brother is a B. Tech final year student and after having a good discussion on this topic, I think I am the right person to answer your question. There are many reasons why students don't keep NIT Agartala as their first preference
- While evaluating and comparing colleges, students look at the official rankings to get an idea. Unfortunately, NIT Agartala has a very low ranking. It was ranked 91 out of 200 colleges in India in 2023 by NIRF.
- NIT Agartala has a deteriorating infrastructure affecting the quality of campus life. There is a shortage of department buildings, labs, libraries, etc. Most of the departments don't have proper labs and equipment affecting the learning experience.
- NIT Agartala has a substandard study and teaching process . The majority of the faculties are underqualified and their teachings are useless. They don’t focus on the technical concepts at all and just deliver bookish knowledge. There is no proper teaching process or any kind of laboratory work
- There is a lot of politics on the NIT Agartala campus. Most qualified students fail to achieve things while below average students excel because of politics. This affects the quality of education.

Why aren't top consulting companies (i.e. McKinsey, BCG, Bain, Strategy&, ATK) visiting IIT Kharagpur during placements?
IIT Kharagpur is always open to consulting companies. However, the top consultants you mentioned don’t visit IIT Kharagpur usually because
- The recruiting in consulting companies is generally done by Partner level executives. These are extremely busy people who are paid hefty amounts for just one hour of counseling.
- The consultants you mentioned have a small demand which is fulfilled by IIT Delhi or IIT Bombay wherever the main office is.
- Traveling to IIT Kharagpur requires 2-3 days and consultants are not that free
- The profile which goes to some of the local colleges may not be the same which comes to IITs.
But if you look from a positive aspect, although IIT Kharagpur was not visited by top consulting companies, it had more than 130 offers, which is the highest among IITs and packages offered, but at par with other IITs.
