Can I get into NLSIU, NALSAR, NUJS, NLIU, NLUD with 2.5 months of preparation and how?

SS
Shantanu Sethi Posted On : September 13th, 2021
Studied BA.LLB (Hons.) from NALSAR University of Law,Hyderabad (2019)

Following are a few tips to prepare yourself for the exam:

  • It is advised to practice as many mock tests as possible within the time limit. Don’t spend more than 5 minutes on each question.
  • CLAT is not about knowing or learning everything. The exam expects you to think logically and comprehend the topics.
  • Solve the papers and analyze your weaknesses and strengths.
  • Find a good friend to study with and give tests together. Read the news daily and give oral quizzes with each other.
  • Stay positive and maintain a positive belief. Maintain a healthy competition with yourself daily.

2 months are enough to prepare for the exam and sharpen your skills. A lot of it also depends on inherent abilities, if you have a high IQ, a reasonably good aptitude for cracking logical puzzles, and are fairly good at the English language.

How is the Jasper Hostel at IIT Dhanbad?

RP
Roohi Pal Posted On : October 12th, 2023
Studied at Indian Institute of Technology, Dhanbad (2020)

Having lived at Jasper Hostel of IIT Dhanbad, I will be sharing my experiences with you-

The mess food is bad in taste. You’ll have to rely on Swiggy/Zomato or Amber Mess. The rooms are two-seater, and very small in size. Each room has a common cupboard, a granite shelf, and a LAN port.

The hostel has four blocks, but freshers get block A and D. Each hostel floor has 55 rooms and 4 washrooms. There’s a common room with a TV on each floor. The two hostel canteens remain open till late night. This is especially helpful during exam season.

The hostel has a Jio Wifi which offers 710 Mbps speed, and a limited data of 1 GB/per day. But the LAN has no data limits. It works from 6pm-2:30 am on weekdays, and day long on weekends. The hostel is located beside NLHC, RD and college library. The library has AC and high speed Wifi facilities.

Hostel will give you lifelong friendships, and everlasting memories. Make the most of your stay over here.

How is the post-MBBS MCh Neurosurgery course in NIMHANS? Will you acquire a good skill set and have a good learning curve there?

AD
Adrita Das, Posted On : September 30th, 2023
Studied at National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (2017)

NIMHANS is an excellent choice for those who are only interested in neurosurgery and are certain of pursuing a career in the same. However, you won’t be learning anything about general surgery. You’d do a craniotomy for EDH evacuation in a trice but will have a major problem putting your finger on an offending appendix.

Ultimately, if you are making this choice just because you want to pursue MCh directly, it’s better to reconsider your decision. 5-years is a long time to waste on something you aren’t sure of. So choose wisely after considering all options.

PA
Puneet Aarya Posted On : June 4th, 2023
MBBS from All India Institute of Medical Sciences

AIIMS Rishikesh serves a huge variety of dishes throughout the week to cater to all types of taste buds keeping in mind the overall health of the students. There is a schedule for the menu over the week, which is changed periodically to break the monotony.

AIIMS Rishikesh has it all. Be it simple daal-sabzi-roti or Paneer and Chicken. A variety of sweets are also served from time to time to cater to those who have a sweet tooth. The mess has both North and South Indian cuisines there is something for all the students coming from different corners of India.

Additionally, there is a well-functioning OTC that provides tea, coffee, Maggi, omelets, and snacks, till late at night, to satisfy midnight carving, especially during exams. They also sell packed food items like milk, ice creams, chips, etc.

AIIMS Rishikesh has a mess run by students and a mess provided by the mess contractor. A mess committee is a body comprising a Mess head, Joint secretary, Menu committee, and Hygiene committee all elected by the students.

Usually, the food served is as per the student's choices and the final decision is made at a monthly meeting by the menu committee.

Overall, the quality of food served at AIIMS Rishikesh is decent with enough focus. Hygiene.

Bachelor of Engineering Civil Engineering, University Institute of Technology, RGPV (2015)

Both UIT RGPV and IET DAVV are very good colleges and are much popular among the students and in the industry, but IET DAVV is preferred in terms of campus infrastructure, placements, and co-curricular activities.

Here are some of the advantages of IET DAVV.

  • A lot of social welfare clubs, technician groups, startups, and many other clubs are available. You can join any of them according to your interests, as it might open many avenues.
  • The faculty at IET DAVV are highly experienced and are lenient.
  • Not much of a fuss is created with attendance, so you will not be forced to attend all the classes.
  • The college is situated in the middle of the city. Transportation, availability of basic necessities are nearby and coaching classes are there.

IET DAVV will be a much better college as it offers very good faculty and facilities to its students and you should definitely consider this college as one of your options.

What is the dress code of students at jipmer?

SG
Sharayashi Ghose Posted On : October 18th, 2021
MBBS from Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research, Pondicherry (2016)

There is no specific dress code for the students. But you should dress professionally. Wearing jeans, half trousers, and T-shirts during normal college hours is considered inappropriate.

In general, girls can wear Indian clothing like kurta, salwar kameez while the guys are expected to wear formal shirts, cotton pants, and shoes in the college and hospital premises. Apron (lab coat) and ID card are mandatory for hospital or clinical rounds.

Except for this, you can wear all sorts of dresses.
