How tough is it to get a seat into PGDBA, the course offered in collaboration with IIT Kharagpur, ISI Kolkata and IIM Calcutta?

Which is better after the GATE, joining NITIE or PSU?
NITIE is the best option to go for after clearing GATE.
Most people opt for PSUs because it allows earning money directly without having to study further. But, in the long run, NITIE provides more diversified career opportunities. You will also find students at NITIE having experience working at PSU for a year or two.
For summer internships and final placements, many big companies such as Walmart, Uber, Flipkart, Amazon, Hindustan Unilever, BMW, Maersk, Shell, Nestle, P&G, Yes Bank, etc. come to the campus.
Placements are really good and like any other top B-school in India. The average package is around 18 LPA. If you are a hard-working person, your career and salary both will have a steep growth. Working at a PSU will take you almost 10 to 12 years even to double your initial salary.
The workload is almost similar to a PSU employee of the oil marketing sector such as IOCL, HPCL, BPCL, etc., after graduating from NITIE. I am not even exaggerating, the workload at these PSUs is heavy.

While selecting an MBA college, all the other factors become secondary to placements.
Top MBA colleges have similar visiting companies and almost equal average packages. What makes a difference is whether you will be shortlisted for recruitment or not. The minimum grade requirement depends upon the average score of the respective batch.
Considering your academic record, you are an average student. At IIMK, the average batch score is around 90%. This is because it has some of the most brilliant students. But it is difficult for an average student to match such high grades. Especially because of the system of relative grading at IIMK.
NITIE follows absolute grading, and the batch average is around 80%. This makes it a haven for GEM. NITIE does not only cater to the supply chain industry, although it is the biggest name for this sector. Its graduates do very well in other sectors like Marketing as well.
Thus, I would recommend you select NITIE over IIM Kozhikode.
How difficult is it to become a 9 pointer in IIIT Hyderabad?
Once you get admission to your dream college either you stop studying because you feel admission alone was enough or you pull your socks and get ready for studying even harder than before. But the reality is college life is different. The courses taught are diverse and some will be interesting while some may not intrigue you at all. So, to get a good CGPA you will have to be interested in most of the courses, or force yourself to do so.

- Make sure you relax enough in your room and don’t waste your time playing games.
- Complete your assignments well before time. Attend group study sessions but make sure to give your input as well.
- Always make a well-structured plan to prepare for exams. Plan in such a way that you complete the syllabus well before time and know what your status is.
- Don’t panic if you don’t score well, rather keep working hard.
- Identify your exact goals and work hard to achieve them. Make sure you also explore the college and yourself.

Is it worth joining IIT Jodhpur for MTech EE ? How are the placements?
Whether joining IIT Jodhpur is worth it or not depends on individual expectations and prospects. Like any other Institute, it does not guarantee placements in any company. I can only offer you an insight, the test depends on your perception of the same.
- The faculty of the Electrical Department of IIT Jodhpur is highly learned and experienced in their respective fields
- The electrical department has well-equipped laboratories and modern equipment and systems required for research work.
- The placement scenario is decent and the highest CTC ranges from 12-15 LPA. A few recruiters who visited in the past to recruit students were INTEL, Maruti Suzuki India Ltd, KEC International Ltd., and Vehicles Ltd. Most of the packages offered by these companies were below 10 LPA.
- IIT Jodhpur has recently shifted to a new campus so its infrastructure and campus facilities have improved.
Ultimately, it’s you who can drive whether joining IIT Jodhpur is worth it or not.
How do one should reach IIT Patna, Bihta from Patna airport or Patna Junction railway station?
From Patna Junction, the best way is to just book a cab to Gandhi Maidan. Instead of going towards the bus depot here, you will find IIT Patna buses outside, board one of them. It will take around 3 hours to reach IIT Patna.
From Patna railways get down at Danapur railway station and wait for the bus. I think it will take less time to reach the IIT Patna campus. The timings of these buses are available on the IIT Patna website.
