Location: AIIMS Rishikesh is the best choice for nature lovers and those who prefer an adventurous life. But if you prefer a hustle and bustle urban life and want to spend time shopping, partying, and watching movies then AIIMS Bhubaneswar offers the perfect ambiance for the same. It’s not that Bhubaneswar lacks natural beauty, it’s just that Rishikeshs beauty is incomparable.
Population: Rishikesh has a less diverse student body being more of a tourist and cultural center. AIIMS Bhubaneswar has a very diverse student body as it’s located in the T hub of Eastern India. With more than 100 top colleges in the city, Bhubaneswar is more student-friendly offering cheap food to easy transport facilities. This promotes better collaboration and faculties go to their workshops, fests, research, etc.
Culture: Bhubaneswar is a kind of metropolitan and people from all over the country can be found here so there isn’t much language problem and no cultural gap when it comes to food, festivals, or movies.
Connectivity: AIIMS Bhubaneswar obviously provides better connectivity than AIIMS Rishikesh. Rishikesh has both rail and air but the speed and efficiency is much better at Bhubaneswar. This directly affects the patient inflow.
Coaching Centre: Bhubaneswar with its high-pitched city life also has the best coaching institutes like DAMS and Bhatia.
However, the quality of education offered and the opportunities available are somewhat similar in both the AIIMS and I refuse to comment on that. The main deciding factor should be the kind of lifestyle that suits you.

It will leave you with approx. 45 to 50K in hand every month, which is good enough to survive in any city in India.
Considering an 8% annual increment, after 5 years your salary would be 22.03 LPA, making it approximately 1.84 LPA per month.
I feel it is worth the money you are going to spend. It is always better to take a loan for your MBA.
How good is an MBA in HR in Tapmi, the salary package and everything?
Tapmi has state-of-the-art facilities. Each and every student has a Medicare card through which he can access all the facilities at the recognized hospitals at very affordable prices. (Some of them are even free of cost). College, however, lacks cricket and football ground but is well compensated by other sports facilities.
Majority of the teachers have more than 10 years of teaching experience as well as industry experience. Case studies, role plays, simulations (few subjects), labs, class discussions became part of the teaching methods. If the subject demands, an industry expert is called to bridge the gap between academics and the industry to enhance learning.
The average stipend for the internship stood at 60,000 and the maximum was at 2,00,000. More than 90% of students were placed in leading national as well as MNCs procuring good roles. Companies like Elli Lilly, Diageo, L&T, Capgemini, and Yes Bank. Overall, the course seems to be doing well.

Calling the IIM Vishakhapatnam’s hostel the best is literally not an understatement. It’s the world-class amenities combined with the serene surroundings that make it seem like a resort-like experience. One of my friends was a PGP student at Vizag and stayed at a beach-facing hostel. The sunrise and sunset views from the balcony and terrace make it seem like you are in a hotel and make your hostel life really peaceful and more home-like. Apart from the spectacular views, other major facilities are
- The cleaning staff cleans the room and table and makes your bed every morning.
- Every flat is given 2 kettles to boil milk or make Maggie
- Every flat has a common area with a TV, sofas, and a refrigerator.
- The rooms have basic furniture like a bed, mattress, study table, chairs, etc.
- Everyone student is allotted a separate wardrobe
- The food is served from a 3-star hotel and is one of the best you can get at a hostel. It caters to every taste bud.
- The terrace has washing machines so that the students can do their laundry in an open area
- Electrical appliances like AC and geysers make your summers and winters comfortable
Overall IIM Vizag has excellent hostel facilities and if you are depressed or stressed about your academics you can take a break by just sitting on the balcony and taking in the breathtaking view.

What is it like to study with Aditya Khanna at IIM Ahmedabad?
My brother was in the same batch as Aditya Khanna at IIM Ahmedabad.
My brother was worried in the beginning that he may not get to interact much with the popular people of his batch. But Aditya Khanna was friendly and approachable from the start. They interacted with each other, and my brother was highly impressed by Aditya. According to my brother, each second spent with the guy made him smarter.
Aditya is the epitome of humility and wisdom. He knew every concept, even before it was discussed in the class. Even without paying attention during class, he would be the one teaching difficult concepts to his batchmates.
He was a hero in the eyes of his batchmates, and my brother still remembers him fondly.
How is TAPMI, Manipal?
TAPMI has made great strides in recent years. It is a great B-Schools with a beautiful campus located in the city of Manipal. I have a friend at the institute and here is his unbiased opinion about the institute.
Infrastructure:
- There are a well-equipped library and computer lab. Although it does not have its own auditorium. The hostel room is average with all the basic amenities. To accommodate students classes are conducted in two shifts.
- The food provided at the mess is not great but you have the option to choose from different vendors. Although that can be a bit costly. Mess charges are not considered in the fee.
- Sports facilities are average at best. There is a Cricket field but it gets flooded often due to heavy rainfalls in Manipal.
Faculty: The faculty base is average. Some of the faculty members are great and quite cooperative. The administration is very strict about rules.
Rules & Regulations: The institute is quite strict about its rules and regulations. There are strict protocols to follow for night outs, taking holidays to go home and curfew timings. Students also have to maintain a strict dress code.
Campus Life: As long as you stay on campus, you can hang out with your friends till late. There are a few fest and events but these are not that great as compared to other colleges.
Placements:
When it comes to placements the institute is a few disadvantages, i.e. location, large batch size. TAPMI offers 100% placement although the average CTC is a bit inflated especially for the summer placements. The profiles offered at placements are average. Students do get internship offers a lot of these internships do not offer stipends.
Alumni Base: It has a great alumni base. TAPMI has made CMOs and CFOs.
Overall, TAPMI is a good B-School with decent infrastructure and facilities. However, it lacks behind in terms of two crucial factors i.e. location and batch strength.
How do I get a decent CGPA in bit mesra exam system?
To score well at BIT Mesra, pay equal attention to your lab and your course subjects. Here are some strategies to help you score well in your exams-
For good lab scores-
- PT/NCC/NSS/CA- Your performance in sports and athletics will fetch you extra credits. For NCC and NSS, merely attending their events will fetch you an extra credit per semester.
- Make yourself visible to the lab teacher- Perform well in the lab and create a good impression in front of the lab teacher. This will help improve your lab scores.
- Lab scores have two divisions - All labs at BIT Mesra are quite similar, except for the microprocessor lab and a few others. Their scores are divided into two broad groups- lab practical and viva. Other exams like objective tests, etc. hardly contribute to your final lab credits.
For Course Subjects- You will have 6-course subjects per semester at BIT Mesra with 7 modules for each. Study with proper planning and do some smart work-
- Don’t mug up. Select and study those modules through which you can answer all 5 questions in the exam. Don’t study everything. Go through the previous year's question papers, find a pattern, and prepare accordingly.
- To build credibility, first answer those questions that you know well. Write the manipulated answers afterward. Never leave a question, unless you are totally clueless about that topic. Manipulative answers can fetch you good marks sometimes. For subjective answers, adding related graphs, equations, and diagrams helps to get good grades. Write in pointers and mention some additional details in a structured manner. Write neatly.
Maintain good attendance and submit your projects on time: This will add extra credits and help you score better.
If you follow these tips and work wisely, you will score a good CGPA at BIT Mesra.
How is the M Tech AI course at IISC Bangalore in terms of placements and future prospects? How is it different from Computational and Data Science MTech programme?
IISC Bangalore introduced the M.Tech AI program in 2019. It is offered by the EECS division.
For the curriculum, the basics of optimization, linear algebra, probability, data structure, and algorithms are covered during the first semester.
M.Tech in AI is different from M.Tech in CDS in terms of core courses. The electives offered in both programs are almost the same.
The IISc Bangalore tag will be very useful in case you go for your Ph.D. in India or abroad. But for that, you need to maintain a good GPA.

The CDS, CSE, and AI branches receive similar placement and internship opportunities. The students of all these branches receive offers in data science, machine learning, and software engineering.

Here is the IIM Trichy interview experience of a candidate.
It was a cold morning in Bangalore. Finding Monarch Luxury was not difficult for someone who was familiar with the city. On the way, the candidate stopped at a nearby shop to buy the day's newspaper. Upon arriving at the venue on time, she was directed to the waiting hall where all the other candidates were already present. The candidate felt underdressed in their plain red kurta when they saw the other candidates dressed in business formals, complete with blazers.
Reminding herself that she was just one step away from the prestigious IIM tag, the candidate took a seat. The process soon began.
The topic for the WAT (Written Ability Test) was "Weddings and restaurants have different varieties of food and most of the time a large amount goes to waste. In a country like India, we cannot afford that. What are your thoughts about the same?" The candidate found that all of the large-scale topics they had prepared for this moment were useless, as this was not something they could have studied beforehand. They were simply asked to express their opinion on the given topic on an A4 sheet.
After their WAT, the candidate waited outside the PI (Personal Interview) room and tried to remember everything she had studied in the past few days. She read the newspaper and decided to go over the story of Great Britain and David Cameron in detail. She heard other candidates speaking to each other and sharing their experiences. They were asked questions about their favorite subject in their graduation course. The candidate began to panic, as she loved engineering mathematics but did not think she would be able to solve problems in front of the interviewers. She also did not want to mention coding as a favorite subject, even though she had a computer science engineering degree, because she was not proficient in it.
When her turn finally arrived, the candidate stepped into the PI room hoping they would not be asked about their graduation. The panel consisted of two men and a woman, all of whom welcomed the candidate with a smile and put them at ease. The interviewers asked the candidate about the meaning of their name, their work at IBM, and their reasons for leaving her job to pursue an MBA. The candidate was also asked about their reading habits, current events, and their career goals. The interview concluded with the interviewers thanking the candidate and wishing them luck.
