How are the hostels in the IIEST Shibpur?
IIEST Shibpur is equipped with well-maintained accommodation facilities for the students to provide them the comfort of home.
- Currently, the campus has 15 hostels or halls of residence. With the increase in the number of admissions every year, the management has decided to construct new hostels to accommodate the students.
- For boys, separate halls of residence are allotted as per their years. 1st-year boys are allocated to hostel 8, 9, 10. Second-year boys are accommodated to hostel 7, 11, or 15. Then, from the third year onwards, students reside in a big hall of residence.
- On the other hand, girls are allocated 2 hostels. First-year girls reside in Nivedita Hall while from 2nd year onwards, they live in Pandya Hall.
- In the initial first year, 4 seater rooms are allotted to students. The rooms are spacious enough for 4 students. While from third year onwards students have an option to choose from a single-seater room to multiple seaters.
- The college has taken full care to provide a neat, clean and hygienic environment to the students. Every hall of residence has its own mess, common room, carrom, table tennis room, badminton court, etc.
- The wifi facility is available 24*7 with high-speed internet.
- Many other facilities like newspapers, washing machines, etc. are also there. Apart from that, the management keeps on updating the facilities to make the students feel better.
- Lunch and dinner are provided in each mess of every hostel. Initially, they have started to provide breakfast but you have to buy evening snacks. You will also get a feast once a week during fests.
If you are relocating, you need to get nothing to move in the hostel. If you want some extra comfort then only you need to buy which is also available in the nearby market.
How do I correct my name in a degree certificate in Acharya Nagarjuna University?
Firstly, you need to go to Pariksha Bhavan. There each clerk in the examination section is assigned with a set of colleges affiliated with the University.
Approach the clerk, he will verify your 10th Marks sheet. He then needs to get approval from or signatures from more than 7 officers, this will take time, about 1-2 days.
They are rumored to get it delayed intentionally for obvious reasons. If you can successfully maintain your calm to their professional ethics, you will be over with it quickly.
Can we get single rooms in AIIMS Bhubaneshwar and AIIMS Bhopal?
AIIMS Bhopal students are allotted a single-seater room from the second year i.e. the 3rd semester. In the first year, AIIMS Bhubaneshwar MBBS students are assigned rooms based on their gender.
Boys are assigned double-seater rooms with an attached washroom, whereas girls are assigned single-seater rooms from the first day.

How is the life of an MBA student in IIT Kanpur?
IIT Kanpur is one of the esteemed engineering and technology institutes in India, and the economics program it is highly reputed. With a rank of 500, you can get any branch at IIT Delhi. You can simply target Electrical or CSE unless you incline a specific field. Another good option is Mathematics and Computing.

Which is better: CSE at the MNNIT, Allahabad or IT at the IIIT, Allahabad?
I am a student at IIIT Allahabad. Here are a few parameters to compare these two options-
- Curriculum- The IT curriculum at IIIT Allahabad is better than the CSE curriculum at MNNIT.
- Study Environment- IIITA offers the best environment for studies. Its students are top coders at platforms like CodeChef, HackerEarth and HackerRank. Students of IIITA start working on projects from their 2nd year itself.
- Placements- IIITA offers better placements than MNNIT. Top brands like Google visit the IIIT campus every year to recruit students.
MNNIT is a good college, but IIIT Allahabad offers top notch facilities and opportunities. I would recommend you choose IT at IIIT Allahabad over CSE at MNNIT.
How much marks did you score in IIM Indore's IPMAT (to IPM STUDENTS)?
One of my friends graduated from IIM Indore and here’s what I got to know from him.
- The students were only shown their composite scores in the exam from the 2015 IPMAT.
- The exact marks in the exam are not provided.
- My friend had gotten a score of 64.3 with the highest reaching 85 and the cutoff for the interview being 42.
- The formula for the computation of the composite score is 60 (Candidate's Quant score – Minimum score) / (Maximum score - Minimum score) + 40 in Candidates Verbal Score – Min score/ Maximum score – Minimum score).
- From my friend’s guesses, she had attempted around 80 questions with an accuracy of around 85 to 90%.
- So my friend’s marks in the exam must have been between 260-280 (following the +4, -1 marking scheme).
So you can assume that a score of 64 translates to around 270. But do keep in mind that the cut offs of the aptitude test changes every year.
