How can I get a scholarship to study in USA?
To get a scholarship to study in USA, an applicant must submit the following documents:
- A completed scholarship application form
- Copy of passport/ID

What were the questions that were asked in the IIT Delhi M.Tech interview for Computer Science and Engineering?
My friend recently gave his interview for the MTech program at IIT Delhi and he told me that only 2 questions were asked him.
- What is a tree? - To this, my friend gave a general answer that did not satisfy them, after which they asked him to state an additional property of the tree. Right after this, they tricked him by asking him to prove the 2nd property based on the first. Although he tried, he was unable to give the final solution.
- Next, they chose a number between 0 to infinity and asked him to guess their number exactly using the minimum number of queries. My friend could answer this one better than the first one although the panelists weren’t completely satisfied with this one too.
His interview lasted the longest although he was asked only 2 questions. Some conclusions drawn from his experience and tips to follow to prepare for the same are
- Study the proofs from Discrete Math and Data Structure and Algorithms.
- Be well-versed with all major definitions and prepare some good examples to support your definition.
- Explain the questions asked in detail and not in short

Is the NICMAR entrance exam difficult? How many applicants are there every year?
Usually, the NICMAR entrance exam is very simple. The questions in the exam are from various subjects like aptitude, data interpretation, verbal ability, and general awareness, and the maximum mark of the exam is 150 marks. You can easily prepare for the exam by referring to R.S. Aggarwal. Then the interview takes place in which the interviewer can ask anything including things about yourself, the subject you like, and your work experience if any, that consists of 50 marks.
Now coming to the total number of applicants, mostly it is seen that around 8,000 to 10,000 students apply for the NICMAR entrance exam every year across the country.

Does Kalasalingam University have good placements?
According to recent years’ statistics, the Kalasalingam University placement scenario is average. Mostly service-based companies come to recruit through campus placements at Kalasalingam University. The average CTC offered at the institute is 4 LPA.
However, to get placement in engineering fields, skills matter more. So, if you have the required skills, you can get placement opportunities.
How is mess food at NIT Kurukshetra?
NIT Kurukshetra girls hostel messes serve good food. As a North Indian, I find the meals quite satisfactory.
Students from the South may find some difficulty in adjusting to the taste. Non vegetarians are also displeased because the mess only serves vegetarian dishes.
The menu is decided by 6 students of a mess committee. They try to include a variety of dishes, keeping in mind the diversity. The menu is repeated weekly.
During winters, the breakfast mostly comprises Paratha. Potatoes are always included in the dinner, and the chapatis have excessive flour. Except for these few things, I don’t have much to complain about the mess food.
Now the good parts- The food is fresh, healthy and hygienic. Your meals will include lentils, vegetables and milk products. You’ll be served dessert at dinner almost each day. Dessert can be Ice-cream (generally 2 days a week), Custard, Kheer or Gulab Jamun. For breakfast you’ll get one thing or the other among these- Paratha, Sandwich, Pav bhaji, Poha and the like. Lunch and Dinner are nice and simple. You can get Dosa for dinner. If there's a meal that the students don’t like, the mess committee changes it.
The mess food is overall nice at NIT Kurukshetra girls hostel. You’ll get used to the taste and start liking it after a while.
Which is best: NIT Durapur, NIT Jamshedpur, NIT Raipur, IIIT Jabalpur and IIIT Kancheepuram? I'm interested in electrical, electronics and computer science.
All the aforementioned institutes namely NIT Jamshedpur, NIT Raipur, IIIT Jabalpur, and IIIT Kancheepuram are good in their own way. They have their own strengths and weaknesses. The choice between these will thereby depend on personal preferences like distance from your home, the placements-branch-wise, and internship opportunities.
Now choosing the branch can be a bit tricky as BTech students have no idea of what exactly they are going to study. Choosing the branch is a blind bet and often many regret their choice later. That being said, if you are confused between electrical, electronics, and computer science then consider the following points
- Go for CSE if your goal is to secure a high package in software and don’t want to spend much time studying.
- Go for EEE if you want to work less and secure a stable average job.
- Go for ECE if are interested in electronics and want to pursue a career in the same.
Out of these ECE is the most challenging with the least opportunities while CSE is the easiest with a plethora of opportunities.
What is Kirori Mal College like for girls?
It is one of the best colleges of Delhi University. Apparently, there isn't a hostel for girls, except that it's the same for both boys and girls.
- You'll find fewer girls in Physics, Math, and other fields. But, it is the best among a lot of other DU colleges.
- KMC is a co-ed DU college that benefits from its location in the heart of the north campus.
- The environment at KMC is ragging-free, like all DU colleges.
- The seniors are really nice, humble, and always willing to help, however, a few people may have different ideas.
Everything is wonderful, from academics to the availability of necessary facilities. Except for the lack of a girls' hostel. Otherwise, it's a fantastic college for both boys and girls.
Which law school is better amongst the three- Symbiosis Pune, Noida or Hyderabad?

Symbiosis Law School, Pune (SLS Pune — the flagship):
- Oldest and most recognized of the three. Established 1977. NAAC A++.
- Alumni: Strong legal community across corporate law, litigation, and judiciary.
- Placement: Best among the three. Top firms (AZB, Cyril Amarchand, Trilegal, Khaitan) visit. Average starting: ?8-15 LPA (varies widely in law).
- Admission: SLAT (Symbiosis Law Aptitude Test) + GD/PI. Most competitive to get into.
SLS Noida:
- Delhi NCR location advantage — proximity to Delhi High Court and Delhi's large corporate law ecosystem.
- Slightly less pedigreed than Pune but placement outcomes are comparable for corporate law roles due to location.
- Good for students targeting Delhi NCR corporate firms.
SLS Hyderabad:
- Newest of the three. Good infrastructure but still building its alumni network and firm recruitment.
- Hyderabad's growing corporate and pharma sector provides niche opportunities.
Recommendation: SLS Pune if you can get in — it's the gold standard. SLS Noida as second choice for Delhi NCR market access. SLS Hyderabad if you specifically want to work in Hyderabad's industry ecosystem. All three are legitimate for a legal career, with Pune having the clearest prestige edge.
What is the selection procedure for ISB Hyderabad?
Each year, ISB selects a cohort of approximately 900 students from a pool of applicants. The class is composed of a diverse group of individuals with varying backgrounds and experiences. It is important for an applicant to understand the demographic makeup of the cohort and the range of GMAT scores and the work experience of admitted students.
Approximately 38% of the students admitted to ISB are women, and the range of GMAT scores for admitted students is between 610 and 780. For the GMAT mid 80% range, the mean score is 713 and the median score is 710. Additionally, in the class of 2022, 54 students have 8 or more years of work experience, 228 students have between 5 to 8 years of work experience, 394 students possess 3 to 5 years of work experience and 254 students have up to 3 years of work experience.
To apply to ISB, you must meet certain prerequisites, including a minimum of 24 months of work experience, a valid GMAT or GRE score, and a bachelor's degree. The application process involves submitting official scores, completing an online form detailing your academics, work experience, awards and activities, and hobbies, providing contact information for one recommender, and submitting two essays.
Based on the information provided in the online application, applicants are selected for an interview. The selection procedure at ISB evaluates the applicant's academic scores, GMAT or GRE, essays, reference letters, and quality of work experience to decide the admission status. Since it is a profile-based admission, the best among equals is then selected. The exact weightage on any of the above criteria is not disclosed by the school, so any assumptions cannot be made. However, it is important to present a strong case on each of these criteria in order to increase your chances of admission.
