The campus was going to have a planned layout with all modern amenities and laboratories which can cater to the need for the next 50 years.
The new campus would have had the following minimum infrastructure:-
Also, a student activity center was planned to cater to the needs of increasing student strength. A counseling center has been introduced to help students combat stress and depression and motivate them in their careers.
However, the construction of the new campus for NIT Raipur has been canceled/stopped now because they haven’t cleared the Environment Clearance so the money is now being used to renovate the existing campus. I have a few friends from Pondicherry University, and according to them, for Insurance Management, the average salary package offered is around INR 5 LPA. The placement percentage is 94%.
Here is a brief overview of the current placement statistics of Pondicherry University.
| Highest Salary Package | INR 10.20 LPA |
| Average Salary Package | INR 3-4 LPA |
| Top Recruiting Companies | TCS, Syntel, CTS, Accenture, Infosys, Wipro, HSBC, ICICI |
But for MBA tourism, the package is relatively lower than anticipated. However, the placement percentage touches the 100% mark in contrast to other branches. For other MBA branches, the salary package is considerably low as well, amounting to around INR 5 LPA or INR 6 LPA.
Both the colleges are well-renowned. But there are certain things I would like to bring to your notice-
As per college rankings, MNNIT is the top NIT in North India. It witnesses very good placements in IT/CSE. The average package for IT is almost at par with that for CSE. This year, the average package was around 24 LPA for IT and 27 LPA for CSE. The CSE students at MNIT Jaipur receive comparatively way lower packages.
At MNNIT, CS, and IT students have the same curriculum till 2nd year. Even after the 2nd year, only 1 or 2 subjects are different. The coding culture is great, and coders perform really well on various platforms like CodeChef, HackerEarth, Hackerrank, etc.
I would recommend you choose IT at MNNIT Allahabad.
One of my relatives was once a Training and Placement Coordinator at NIT Agartala in 2019. Since the institute does not release official data on branch-wise placements, we will use the data from 2019 to get an idea of ECE placements at NIT Agartala.
Ultimately, ECE is an evergreen branch opening opportunities in both sectors.
The level of difficulty of scoring an 8+ CGPA in NIT Surathkal depends on the department you belong to and the kind of professors in that particular department.
Hope this helps you!
