What is the placement rate at DTU? Do good companies hire from here??

I’m currently studying at DTU, and the placement scene is a mixed bag. About 20-25% of students get placed, and some well-known companies like Bajaj and Byjus visit for placements. The highest package I’ve heard of is 13 LPA, but the average is closer to 5 LPA. Most companies that come here are in the startup space, offering roles in marketing, finance, and data analysis. I’m in my final year, so I’m focusing on my MBA plans, but it’s good to know that there are companies willing to hire from DTU.

At DTU, the placement rate is around 20-25%, which isn’t bad for a college in Delhi. Companies like Byjus and Bajaj do recruit here, along with some startups. The highest package I’ve heard of is 13 LPA, though most graduates seem to get around 5 LPA on average. I’m in my second year and have seen a lot of my seniors get internships at good firms. It’s a competitive environment, but if you put in the effort, there are definitely companies looking to hire from DTU.

Placements: DTU is one of the top engineering colleges in India. The highest salary package offered this year was close to 1 crore, awarded to a student from the SE branch. The lowest salary package was 3 LPA, provided by mass recruiters. The average salary package was around 6 LPA. Almost all major companies visited the campus this year, including Google, Amazon, Goldman Sachs, and De Shaw, among others. The placement cell is very active, with over 250 companies coming for placements.

Infrastructure: Classrooms and the library are well-equipped with air-conditioning. Sports facilities are decent, featuring a cricket ground, badminton, and tennis courts. However, the food in the mess is quite poor. Hostel rooms are small, similar to those in many government colleges. Sometimes, lab equipment doesn’t function properly.

Faculty: Most teachers hold PhDs from reputable Indian and foreign universities. The course is manageable, as exams require minimal effort. However, the teaching style can be quite dull. The course curriculum feels outdated and lacks industry relevance.

Delhi Technological University (DTU) is currently conducting its placement drive for the 2022 graduating batch. According to the latest report, over 300 recruiters participated and made more than 2,082 placement offers by February 16, 2022. The highest and average packages offered during DTU placements 2022 were INR 1.2 crore per annum and INR 15.31 LPA, respectively. The top recruiters at DTU Delhi in 2022 included Amazon, Facebook, Google, Microsoft, and others.

In addition to final placements, DTU received an impressive response from renowned companies for internship opportunities. The highest stipend reported until February 2022 was INR 2 lakh per month.

The placement rate at DTU is decent, especially for a college like ours. From what I’ve seen, around 20-25% of UG students are getting placed. Good companies do come here for recruitment, like Bajaj, Byjus, and even Amazon. The highest package I know of recently was 13 LPA, which is pretty impressive! But keep in mind that the average package is around 5 LPA, so it varies a lot. I’m planning to join an MBA after my degree, but I’ve seen many students land good internships with startups and established firms, so there are opportunities out there.
