Remarks

There are lots of positives about our college. Our college is more than 30 years old. It has a good name. The staffs in our college are very capable. If the college were to alter their infrastructure the college will be better. I think the college doesn't even have ISO certificate.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course is dependent on Anna university as the college is under their supervision. We have to write 3 periodical tests (Internal Exams) which are then uploaded to the Anna university website and then our Internal marks are evaluated.

Placement Experience

There are quiet a few opportunities in our college. We are trained by training and placement cell from 1st year itself. So we are well equipped in aptitude and reasoning. We attend our interview on our final year. No my college does not provide internship.

College Events

The biggest event that is celebrated in our college is Maecenas. This is a cultural event. Students from various colleges attend this event. We also celebrate sports day. Sports day in our college happens for a week.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is really feasible. Our college gives free education to students belonging in a certain community. They don't charge fee from them at all. The tuition fee is Rs 40000. Apart from this we have to pay library fee extra fee. Transportation is also available.

Fees and Financial Aid

This college helps us to get scholarship from government. We have to get the scholarship form from the record room. Then we have to fill the form accordingly. Then we have to submit for form for a review in the record room. Then they will apply on our stead.

Campus Life

There are variety of labs available at our college. They also support sports very much. If you are an achieved athlete you get concession on tuition fee. They also support us financially for sports. The labs in our college are quite good.

Alumni/Alumna

There is no connection with alumni in this college. The seniors are hard to connect to unless you know them personally. There is no alumni network to the best of my knowledge. Of course our training and placement cell staffs are in contact with our alumni.

Admission

I applied for Anna University counselling using my +2 marks. Then I received a confirmation from anna university. I then attended the counselling at chennai. The counselling code for Mookambigai College of Engineering is 8128. You just have to say this to the Counselling staff.

Faculty

The faculty are pretty good and knowledgeable. They help us understand each and every subject. They are friendly so approaching them is quiet easy. They clear any doubts the students may have immediately.

The placements are very decent and they provide internships as early career opportunities as well in 3rd year of studies and the college possess high conversion rates through these internships which support the resume with actual corporate exposure

Here there is no gender separation like boys and girls should be seperate and stuff like that.
It is a autonomous college so courses are changing regularly with the shift in education
Here we have relative grading system therefore there is no ranking and easy to get good grades

Dislikes

We have to pay yearly fees not semester wise it difficult for low income earning families
Money is collected from students for all events happening in the college.
There is a rush for collection of fees at the start of each year and unpaid students might face absent issues

Placement Experience:

Campus placements are moderate but i don't know much about other courses but for civil engineering the average placed ctc is 3 lakh per annum one or two students got higer package but most of the students got lower package as a fresher.

From 5 th semester onwards students are eligible for campus placements. Lots of companies. The highest package is 26 lakhs and the average package is 1.5 lakhs. 98% of students get placed. Doing my best in a career as an entrepreneur.
