Remarks

College has some party problems which will annoy some of the students here. Another problem with is faculties they didnt give full class or they doesn't complete the total classes. And other problem is with principal principal give access to police to takeover students even a small problem in college

Course Curriculum Overview

Course is littile difficult because of the attendance criteria and minimum marks required for writing exams but although the climate is good here avoiding some seasonal diseases there is no more health problems here. We are writing exams under ktu so there small problems we students always face with evaluation.

Placement Experience

College provide internships and internal extra credits oriented programmes. More over our university ktu giving opportunities to do internships and credit oriented programmes to do all over kerala and in other national institutes.

College Events

In the year 2018 college has witnessed more than 10 programmes college has celebrated a four day arts festival inside the college encouraging arts activities in college. And the other main programme held in college is magazine inaugural it was held outside college

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees is relatively low compared to other engineering colleges and more over there are many scholarships like egrantz etc. Scheduled students dont want to pay fees. Free education is alotted for students in OEC and ST SC students and

Fees and Financial Aid

Egrantz is relatively a good scholarship because it gives an annual stapent on 13000 whis is very useful for students. College fees can easily paid with this money. Loan facility is available for all students from all banks in kerala

Campus Life

3.5

Labs are almost good here. Labs with above average facilities and faculties are here. College went to all interzone sports in every year.college has an free gym and football ground and table tennis courts and a faculty for physical education

Hostel Facilities

College hostel is more affordable compared to other outside hostels. It cost only upto 2500 per month. College hostel is only 3 years old college hostel is in very neat condition. Food is above average. Outside hostel cost above 3000 per month

External Expense: Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna

College is with great atmosphere like wise the seniors are ver friendly to their juniors. Seniors help us for education related and all othersports related things. Moreover the students has an minimum quality.

Admission

I wrote kEAM entrance and my rank was 12400 I got admission in gecw by 3rd chance. On the first chance i got admission in adoor engineering college but after waiting i got admission in gecw in merit seat for mechanical engineering.

Faculty

3.5

Faculty are basically good. But there are some teachees whose are guest lectures. More over faculty didn't get enough time to complete the modules. You can only get a medium quality teachers here. In lab we get good teachers.

All the teachers are well qualified and equipped to teach but the quality of teaching differs as per individual.

Dislikes

The say of students in matters concerning them or others is nil. We have very little say as the management takes all decisons.
Teachers have ego and superiority issues between themselves which might affect the children in 4th year, project phases.
Fests, events and functions are not upto any expectations.Schools in trivandrum have better events than our college.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible from 7th semester to sit for interviews. The pod.ai app helps us in making the resume and calculating a cgpa to appear for the intwrviews. The pod.ai registration fees is 500?. Companies such as nissan, infosys, commandtech, bimlabs, gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA

TIST , Great college , fun events and more

Likes

Our seniors passed out with flying colors joining different companies or starting their own. There's a good focus on peer learning and student communities which is pretty nice. Canteen food is decent and labs are great
Most people and professors are friendly and they encourage you to try out new things.

Dislikes

Hostel water , busses are pretty fast. Sometimes roads are a bitt rough

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is under KTU syllubus do it's fine. There is a change in curriculum coming 2024 which i assume would make a lot of good changes. The curriculum gives you a head start For most of your work, you need to on your own but the faculty is there to help. The frequency of exams is weekly tests + monthly exams. Its not too difficult of an exam.

I feel like staffs in my department are pretty good, atleast they fullfill their duties to cover the portions in right time
We have placements training, offered free of cost by college itself
Notes and necessary materials for studying are provided from college itself, and most teachers don't force on buying textbooks or other materials

Dislikes

College is located in aarakunnam, which is a bit remote area hence for various needs we often need to travel a few kilometres even for basic necessities
The road to collage entrance is a steep road, and currently it's under construction (it's been a yr)
Students are required to park their vehicles outside the college, as there is no parking facilities for students inside campus

Placement Experience:

Currently placements are bit low, due to inflation, but compared to other colleges like KMEA, etc we have better placements similar to Muthoot and all. We have placement training, and other supports which can help us crack aptitude exams and prepare for placements Almost 70-80% students are placed every year, with an avg package of 4LPA
