Institute with lots of opportunities

Good: A very good placement cell Course curriculum is up-to-date Bad: Fee is high compared to other colleges

The course curriculum was very up-to-date and industry standard. Our curriculum includes both software and hardware part and it was well balanced. We get to know about various new topics along the way. As i Heard the curriculum is set by our professors along with the constitution of various IIT professors.

The placement cell of my College is decent. This is my final year of my College and i have got a placement offer from a start-up company during the college campusing. There were many good companies Who visited our College, including the tech giants like Microsoft, dell, shell, JLL.

Other than regular college classes and all there are various clubs, fests committee present in our College. There are departmental fests, a cultural fest named KAALRAV, A technical fest name TECH ADRISTA. Rather than those our College organises various sports festival also. So I can proudly say we are not one inch behind in terms of cultural activities.

The fee structure of the B.tech course is quiet high its around 3.5 lack each year including hostel, mess and college fee. I think its so high because of the Manipal tag that we get from SMIT. The course fee alone takes 2.4 lack. Rather than that other fees are less compared to the hospitality we get in the Sikkim.

For me i have not opted or rather eligible for any scholarship provided by the college there is a sikkim kota in which students get 75% off in course fee. And merits based fee sensation.

Campus life is delightful throughout my College year the weather is very pleasant there is a mesmerizing view of river tista along our campus thought we are not allowed to go near it due to security issues. The engineering campus is situated at rangpo and in short the campus life is good

Hostel fee structure includes fooding and lodging. Its around 80000 per year. And the rooms we get in terms of the price is quiet decent enough. We have two bed per room with two table, chair, almirah and an attached bathroom. And for the food, there is a proper diet.

Alumni network is very good our alumnis are achieving good position in industry. There are global alumni meet held every year.

There was an entrance exam held right after my hs exams. The exam was held on a school in Siliguri,WB. It was one of the 3 examination centre across india. In my exam location there was around 400 students who were giving the exam. It was a jee mains like exam inludes various sections.

My department was ECE and all the faculty members of our department are very approachable. They always encourage us to do great things in life. I have done some really interesting projects along with my studies and they are very helpful. Including the non-teaching staffs.
