D.A.V REVIEW

D.A.V is oldest college in dehradun with all courses present in one college.Its a goverment aided college and receive funds from government. Graduation and post graduation along with B.Ed.,M.Ed., Law department is also there. Well equipped library facilities are available.

B.Ed. is a 2 yr course in D.A.V which comprises of 4 semester.Each semester have different teaching subject each assigned paper codes.There are 4 paper codes i.e 101,102,103,104 and one EPC practicum paper code 105. Course is designed in such a way to make student an efficient teacher so he or she could better understand the psychology and disciplines of students in real life. In 2 yr students teaches students in various school so in order to get practical experience of teaching and how to use teaching aids to better understand students.

I dont know much about intership and job opportunities but after 2 yr course completion many options are available like CTET,UTET,LECTURER,Etc. Student pass these exams and get recruited as a teacher in any giverment aided schools.

Many events and cultural programs are organised from time to time some list of events are:- 1.Debates 2.fete 3.FOUNDERS 4.SPORTS 5.NATIONAL PROGRAMS Various students participates in various games and represents our college at centre and state levels.

IN B.Ed. the fee is not much because its a goverment college.Its fee is around 2750 for HNBGU students whereas 2950 for other university students. In overall much cheaper then other self finance institutions.

Yes post metric scholarship is available for students of OBC(other backward classes) and SC/ST candidates. Its good for economically weaker section students who can't afford huge fee. Moreover this scholarship refunds money back to thier account.

Excellent efforts are made in this field.Intrested students can take parts in various games like Cricket,Chess,Hockey,judo,table tennis ,basketball etc.Every department has Labs where students do their practicals.

In my course senior students help is needed to disscuss how to make projects and assignments. Senior students give directions how to study and how they tackled various problem.Different student alumni akso helps lots.

I appeared fir B.Ed entrance exam which was conducted on April.After clearing my exam my name came in meirt list. There are 50 seats in B.Ed. and studends from different streams like Science,commerce,Arts etc. took admission according to the name in merit list of selected students.

Faculty are experienced and cooperative. Apart from knowlege and teaching they are very helpful in coopertaing with students.They from time to time inform students about any program in college like debate so that all round development if student can be possible. They not put much burden on student as in other colleges ,all over faculties are very nice ,experienced and cooperative.
