Remarks

There are only few countable college who have separate college campus for architecture in India I'm proud to say RV had one of our college had one. I would say if you be a teachers student without conflicts and obtain good marks you will graduate with no problem.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

this course is one of the toughest course in the world (more than medical). there will be lots of work and research. The exam structure is basically based on 11th and 12th mathematics and aptitude and mainly DRAWING and sketching skills. Advice to take a crash course before writing exam.

Placement Experience

1

There Is no internship provided by any architecture college. You have to search for internship. I don't think there are good job opportunities In architecture. You have to be the one who gives the job

College Events

1.5

There are less events conducted. BUT every year our college conducts event called EXHIBITION (yes its called exhibition lol) its great in terms of architectural events. like great speakers (star architect's visit every year. which u can find better speeches in YouTube. ). over all our college is bad at conducting events sorry folks.

Fee Structure And Facilities

architecture Is expensive and RV college of architecture Is still more expensive. (compared to any other course ) You will have to buy lots of materials related architectural study that's the one main reason for expensive college. another reason is printing your design sheets which is whole lot a level expensive.

Fees and Financial Aid

I don't have much idea about scholarship provided. though I find some put at notice board now and then in a year. Much information is provided by management about this particular field if approached personally.

Campus Life

4.5

Our college Is good at conducting workshops and there are 2 labs which are well maintained (rare you will find labs for architecture in college in India). its worse at conducting extracurricular activities no one gives a damn about our talents which is sad. college needs to provide platforms for students to showcase their talents.

Hostel Facilities

1

The hostel design is worst not good for studying architecture. It's been reported many times to management. The management doesn't seems to care about student well being. Even though there are many vacant rooms the students are jammed in 5×6 meter room (3 students per room) worst hostel I advise not to stay In hostel. The food at hostel is average. (not good).

Alumni/Alumna

alumni network is started recently which is going great according to my knowledge. senior are more helpful than any faculty if you approach them. Best senior and junior interaction you'll ever find. There is no ragging whatsoever. We have an anti ragging committee by seniors in college.

Admission

I had written NATA (National aptitude test for architecture) through that I got my ranks in cet and got selected for this college. I wanted to do designing or architecture from 11th as I was good at art and aptitude.

Faculty

5

The new faculty are inexperienced and bad (SOME not all) many teacher are great who are great and passionate about teaching. You will find best faculty in India for sure. Pro's: good at design side #great faculty great library good infrastructure good for nerds great environment Con's: bad at sports (which no one gives a f in architecture) bad hostel bad location (college) in terms of transportation bad food

Admission:

The admission procedure is not tedious. After plus 2 and appearing for JEE 2 or NATA exams, candidates have to apply with that scores. After screening they will be called for interview. For validation purposes, all the original certificates will be scrutinized.

This is a very good College in terms of education and co-curricular activities. The events hosted in the College and the workshops are almost always paid for so it is hard if you don't have pocket money with you always.

Admission:

I applied to the college based on my score in the National Aptitude Test for Architecture (NATA). I also appeared in the JEE Main paper 2. However, the NATA score been good then JEE Main paper 2 so I said for the NATA counselling. I was allotted a seat in the institute in spot counselling. After the grant of the admission I was called to the campus to complete the procedural formalities for admission. I opted for the institute because it is one of the top institute for architecture studies in Mysore.

Remarks:

The Architectural education scene is still a work in progress, and the quality changes dramatically in a short period of time and hence the relevancy of my remarks here are questionable., Management has changed recently, the University of Mysore has taken over, and it brings bigger resources, better integration with other university facilities and it's government-like administration with it's pros and cons. It would be wise to personally visit the facilty.
