Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Universal Business School offers a variety of clubs, courses and curriculum. All the subjects very well suit our professional interests. Not only the subjects help but there are many case studies given to solve which helps providing solutions to real life problems and provide experiential learning. Also the weekly presentations helps to boost self-confidence. There are quizzes, mid-terms and end-terms.

Placement Experience

4.5

Many top brands visited this year in every field of specialization. Some of the top brands were Reliance, Armstrong, Multiliving Technologies by Lodha Ventures, Tresvista, Hicare, Federal Bank, IDFC First, Laqshya Media, Valuefy, Jockey, Byju, Pin click, UBS Forum, Asian Paints, ITC, Berger Paints, etc. Generally, companies would take aptitude tests first, then shortlist. the next step is Group Discussions and the next is the personal interview(s). Every faculty member is helpful in preparing the students for placement season. There are mock GDs and mock interviews on a continuous basis.

College Events

5

There are so many clubs at UBS and it is compulsory for students to join at least one of the clubs. There are so many events conducted by these clubs, be it educational, technical, cultural fests such R4R, parties such as MSR (Midnight Sunrise), Octave, Freshers, etc. All the students participate in every event with great enthusiasm.

Fee Structure And Facilities

For the International MBA+PGDM Course (Cardiff), the tuition fees is Rs 10,98,000 for 2 years. I believe that it is quite feasible as two degrees are provided and one of them is from reputed international university. There are no additional fees charged during the admission in the course. Also the college provides a brochure which contains a proper breakdown of the fees infrastructure.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college does provide scholarships. One of the most popular is that of Capital First Scholarship.

Campus Life

4.5

The gender ratio of boys: girls is 60:40. The students come from all over India. There are so many clubs in UBS and it compulsory for every student to join at least one club. Some of the clubs are UIC (UBS Innovation Club), Marketing Club, ELC, etc. ELC, that is, ExCoLearn Private Limited is a student-run private limited company that works for student development and ais a division of Experiential Learning Corporation. It gives an experience of corporate life to students. Over here I have received many opportunities for personal development as well as opportunities to communicate and network with great leaders.

Hostel Facilities

4

The hostel facilities are great. There are AC rooms with a common living room, a small kitchen, and dining. It feels like home. The hostel fees for dual sharing is Rs. 1,44,000 for 2 years and Rs. 1,98,000 for 2 years for a single sharing room. There are laundry facilities and gym facilities available all the time.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni is very helpful. They are always available to us if we have any doubts and help us to resolve our queries. They also help a lot during the placement season, helping us with the Group Discussions and the interviews.

Admission

This course provided me two degrees. One of MBA from Cardiff Metropolitan University and another of PGDM approved by AICTE. I chose this institution because it provided me international exposure and world class education in my home country, it is situated in the lap of nature, is endorsed by Sixty CEOs, provided leadership lessons from top CEOs in India. The admission process is transparent and uncomplicated. A student has to go through two interviews, each taken by the faculty themselves.

Faculty

4.5

There are around 22-25 lecturers, whole other departments for IT and Accounts. Each faculty member has a corporate experience and some of them are Ph.D. holders. All the faculty members are excellent teachers and are always there to help students solve any doubts. They gave us many case studies to solve which helped us in experiential learning and also helped in personality development such as the development of self-confidence through weekly presentations.

Placement Experience:

The placements depend upon which Specialization you're in. If you're a marketing student there will be lots of good companies coming in for placements followed by finance and then HR. You become eligible for placement from 3rd semester. Companies such as Deloitte, PWC, TCS, HCL, etc. visit the campus for placements and offer a good amount of Packages.

We learned a lot from the curriculum and the college itself. My journey was a mixed bag of feelings with many sweet and sour moments. The classroom sessions were fun and so were the field visits and management activities like webinars or mock marketing competitions.

College is almost good .this for those who want only masters but no placement .if you also want to get placed in any company need only degree ur welcome. The management is worst the nonteaching staff doesn't know how to talk with students especially the admission office. I here declare whatever I have seen and suffered I presented my view about this college to you, not it's your choice to go to heaven like symbiosis or choose hell. I was misguided and helpless so I came here means I got fewer marks in a snap so please students appear for snap sincerely.

The university gives you a great exposure to shape up your life for a great future. There's absolutely no racism and everyone is treated equally. This is the only institute in pune where girls and boys are found in almost equal numbers. In fact girls are encouraged to become entrepreneurs.
