Review of college

Remarks about the college is somewhat mixed. The college has good faculties, infrastructure. Also the college is good in academics and placements. On the other hand there is no grounds or parks to Play games and sports. Also the fee is very expensive, so many students who don't have a good financial condition can't join this college.

Course curriculum is well defined and focused. There are good faculties too for the subjects. Lab classes of the subjects are well organised. Each subject gets lab period without being hectic. Exams are also conducted in an organised way by giving good amount of study leaves. Researches are also conducted in the form of NTCC.

Placements and job opportunities are decent for good students who scores good in semester examination. The college also provides unpaid intership opportunities like NTCC. The overall experience is good.

College holds many events such as exhibitions, freshers, conferences, sangathan (inter amity sports meet) every year. Amiphoria is the biggest fest conducted by Amity University Kolkata. It is celebrated every year.

Fee Structure is very expensive. Like for BCA the fee for 1st semester is 55000. For 3rd semester it 67000 and for 5th semester it is 74000 approximately. Likewise it increases for every semester. A student has to pay lakhs of rupees to complete their studies.

Scholarships are available for students on the basis of merit. Good score in 12th examination will give you scholarships. Also if you do good in semester examination then also a student will be eligible for the scholarship.

The gender ratio is almost equal in the college. Workshops are conducted for the students also if there are workshops happening in any other colleges then also students are sent to these workshops. Students in the college are from very diverse places, religion. The college has students from almost every state in India.

I have opted for hostel and as expected the hostel too is very much expensive. It takes lakhs of rupees just for accommodation. Hostel fee doesn't even include food and laundry services. The infrastructure on the other hand is amazing. It has double sharing rooms with Air conditioner. The hostel is Clean and neat. It has 11 floors for boys and 16 floors for girls.

Seniors are very much helpful. The are ready for providing any help to tha freshers and the juniors. They provide notes to the juniors, spend time with them, teaches them, clears doubts, Play sports with the juniors.

I got admission in Amity University Kolkata by cracking the Amity Jee exam followed by personal interview by the HOI. I choose BCA course over many other courses because I love to code & working in computer. The admission process is very easy. You have to fill the form amd give the exam, if you are eligible for interview as per the marks criteria of class 12th and you have qualified the entrance test then you will get addmission in this college.

Faculty of the college is well qualified for the subjects and are very familiar with the topics. Every subject has a dedicated faculty who are perfect to teach. The faculty are very interactive with the students and uses smart technologies for teachings such as Mac Labs.
