Remarks
Many times college will not listen to you easily. In Boys hostel the bathrooms of c wing has to be reconstructed and it took them 2 years to rebuilt them. Now you can judge them from this.
Course Curriculum Overview
I must say that aktu curriculum is out dated. For non core branches(CS,IT,ECE) students do not get latest course istead they have to do more theory part. In CS,IT like branch there is more theory than Lab which is frustrating for them. And core branch students have to perform practicals which seems to be irrelevant for them, they are just performing them without having proper knowledge.
Placement Experience
Major placement is of CS, IT departments. And even ECE students get place in IT companies.Mechanical students also get some placement(mostly female). But there is almost no placement in other (core) branches. Whenever any company comes they never treat them well they take them for granted and hence they have blacklisted this college or the do not cone next time. Students have to go for off campus placements. If a core branch student get a placement then it would be a IT company like TCS.
College Events
Except this year events were held like TedX, MUN, Youth Parliament, E-summit and Zealicon. These are the major events of our college. In TedX famous people were invited to tell about there journey and experience of there life. MUN is an educational simulation and/or academic activity in which students can learn about diplomacy, international relations, and the United Nations. Youth parliament, is held in order to develop democratic ethos in the younger generation the Ministry conducts Youth Parliament Competition. The major event is Zealicon, in it both techical and cultural events are held and there lots of participation of students.
Fee Structure And Facilities
They fee here is feasible. And the college provide transparency in the fee breakdown. There is also addmission through management quota. Exect that for admission you have to clear the aktu entrance exam and there is also admission through jee mains score card. The payment mode is demand draft or tou can also pay through online net banking.
Fees and Financial Aid
There is no scholarahip from college but aktu offers scholarship on the bases of merit list if you are a rank holder then your tution fee will be waved off and also to those whose fathers annual income is less than 2L.
Campus Life
You will enjoy you campus life here but I think in any college you go, you will enjoy. The gender ratio is not that good its average(more male obviously). For extracurricular there is lot of opportunities but there is not role of college there only society can provide that. There is lot of sports played in this college and you will get proper opportunity if you are a sport person.
Alumni/Alumna
The seniors are helpful but not always and not many. But societies are run by them and if you want to explore technially any thing then they are helpful. And there is alumni meet once a year.
Admission
I wanted to be an engineer because my interest was in technical things so I opted for B.tech. I choose this institution because I could not do well in JEE MAINS so I have to go to other options. I gave the aktu entrance exam and JSSATE was one of the good colleges(Private) in aktu.
Faculty
The number for lectures are sufficiet for the course and some teachers here are well qualified. But there is major problem if any batch facing problems with faculty if he/she is not good in teaching then you cannot do anything and 75% attendance make it more difficult for you. And another problem with many faculty members is that they never give you good internal marks which is very important for any student. If you perform average in your internals then never expect them that they will increase you internals.
