Remarks

College is good with improvements required in placement procedures, labs and in senior faculty.

Entrance Preview

Got admission on basis of AIEEE admission process was good as choices were given based your rankMostly you are offered three choices and based on the rank admission can be taken. Once you select a collegeseats are checked for the particular branch required and you submit a bit of admission fee and process is activated.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Course structure is ok with need of improvement in research more related to a particular field courses offered are, Electronics and communication, Mechanical, Information technology, Computers, Electronics and electrical, Architecture .

Internships Opportunities

College doesn't provide stipend though few companies like HCL, GE, HP which came do provide based on your branch or course.

Placement Experience

2.5

Placement process needs improvement as not many companies came. Mostly were constrained to computer branch. Among which came were HP , HCL , Merchant Navy, GE, Oracle and the packages varied from 2L to 4L starting. Also Merchant navy demanded some fees for initial training which would be refunded after couple of years.

College Events

3

The events celebrated were HOSTEL NIGHT, Freshers party, Music night, Bhangra night, Dance competition. Mr and ms college All activities were nicely celebrated and which also helped in their internal assessment. The music night particularly is quite big as one of the leading punjabi singers is called upon.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The admission fees is around 50kAnd the per semester fees is around 40k and the examination fee every semester is around 700 per semester For the travelling, there is bus which have a fee structures of around Rs 15000The bus fees is a bit on higher side and the semester fees also as the facilities in the labs and other places are ok but not Upto the mark.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes scholarship was offered based on your 12th standards marks and on your entrance examination marks.

Campus Life

3

Gender ratio if we talk about was more for males as for females Ratio would be 60:40 with majority in males. Though there was not race or inequality factor involved. Each and every one was good to another irrespective of their cast, religion or race. If you are going to a College, little politics is bound to come May it be between students or teachers or admin staff workshops were conducted every now and then to keep the interest of students going and also new things were learnt and observe in this kind of activity.

Hostel Facilities

3

Hostel rooms were decent enough and food also decent. Every floor had running water cooler 24 hours. Hot water was also there in washrooms in winters .Library was present open till 10 pm for hostel students the rooms were divided on 3 types: twin sharing, triple sharing and quad sharing. The fees was around 60k per year which I think is a bit on higher side based on facilities though there was option of paying it semester wise.

Alumni/Alumna

The seniors initially felt quite scary and they keep asking to give a introduction again and again and more in hostels. Though after few months you realise that it is only to make the understanding better and to make the newcomers feel comfortable in a new place and environment.

Exam Structure

The exams were conducted once a month while the assignment was allotted weekly. The labs were twice a week so it was chilled out , The final exams were obviously once in 5 months with whole semester syllabus to be tested the labs were also quite good with a lot to learn practically.

Faculty

3.5

Faculty is quite helpful though less in experience about 60% of staff is less in experience but they are quite helpful The standards are good as told but need to have more experienced staff as some are just pass outs and have started teaching. This will help students in being more active in participation in lectures and lab activities.

Placement Experience:

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

Placement Experience:

Students generally become eligible for placement from 7th semester, with numerous major companies like wipro, cognizant and various tech startups visit the campus with various offers. The university sees a high percentage of students getting placed. The package are widely depending on various skill and codes. Furthermore while the highest package looks impressive on paper, the avg package remains modest for the majority of the batch. My personal plans after getting the degree focus on exploring independent entrepreneurial ventures rather than tradition corporate placement.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
