Overall a positive remark about the college. They had focused on bringing out the best in each student by providing an excellent faculty and facilities. There were also sessions conducted from experts from outside.
The college abide by MG syllabus which was pretty outdated. So much outdated that it never served any purpose in my professional life. The funny part being this outdated syllabus was so hectic too, but we sure had our chill days too, but mostly hectic. Exams after exams, internals, module tests, model exams, sem exams assignments, internals etc.
There were good placement opportunities although it's depreciating year after year. But the college is honestly trying its best to provide maximum placements and ensuring the students are ready for the placement exams and assessments by providing additional sessions and seminars
There is primarily a technical festival called Brahma and an Arts day. Intermittently we had a mini tech fest kinda thing called Ashwamedha. Then there used to be a sports day, Onam celebration and similar events
All the MG University affiliated colleges followed a standard fee structure which was revised every year. Then there were merit seats and scholarships which had their benefits. Additional payment had to be made for availing hostel facility obviously
Loans were provided by most banks. And scholarships are provided for the deserving candidates. There were also scholarship based on caste. The less fortunate also had some provision to avail scholarships.
Sports activities weren't upto the mark. I'm not sure if they improved on that. There weren't any politics involved at that point of time. The college had an an almost equal gender ratios although were more inclined towards Brahmins on the caste side
Hostel was an average facility with vegetarian food. The amenities were pretty basic. It's a basic infra which served as a hostel. There were 3 shared rooms and common washourooms in each floor. Wifi was also available
The faculty does a great job in maintaining a working alumni data. They do organise meet-ups etc. The alumni are welcome for the technical festival. Overall they do have a good alumni relationship and communication
I had to collect a form from the college and fill in details regarding my entrance exam rank, my 12 and 10 CGPA my desired stream etc and submit it back to the college. A week later they published a rank list based on the submission and students were interviewing in the order of their ranks and were awarded admission on a first come first serve basis. They also made it a point that the pupil had to pay the first installment of the fees during the interview process else the seat is lost
Faculty really did a great job in ensuring that every student studied and they could provide as much help as possible. The faulty were efficient and really knowledgeable people. They did strive a lot in ensuring that students got good grades.
Yes, there a placement cell working in the college and it is very active so far, in CS department the placement is very active and so many students have been placed in the companies on info park-like Wipro, Infosys and so on.
The teaching methods, the campus and it was my dream to join MBBS. The teachers are very friendly and we can ask any doubt at any time without any hesitation. Other than studies many co curricular activities are also conducting in the college. All festivals are celebrated in enjoyable manner with all departments in the college.
The placement is based on our marks and talent in our studies. There will be practical session and we will be asked to take attend a patient and they will look our way of treating the patient.
Because of opportunities, campus atmosphere, faculty members, alumni, friends, teaching facilities, better management, good infrastructure facilities, well established library, better learning experience.
The college is near to my house and it have many emotional connections with that college that mine sister also studied in this college because of that I'm interested to join in that college. And the college was very popular also and I love to join their for my graduation and I have lots of friends who studying there.
KLEE is the common entrance exam for all law aspirants. After the exam the candidates must go through the single window admission process for getting admission. Depending on the ranking in the merit list allotments will be given.
As of now, the college is not supporting the students for placements and internships. The students are asked to look for internships themselves. For passed out students also there is not help from college to find a job.
Over all my college is a beautiful college. The Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Thiruvananthapuram (IISER-TVM) is an autonomous institution under the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. It is dedicated to scientific research and science education of international standards.
Merit list, its done online and allotments are made 3 times. The seats are reserved for sc st and community basis. There are limitations in seats available for more details please contact the online site.
Since it is not a professional degree college no internship is provided job opportunity depends on the marks obtained in the degree examinations. So nothing further to say here.
